The Space:

This newly constructed, modern-yet-cozy cabin in the woods, just off Petenwell Lake (Wisconsin's second-largest) provides the perfect launching pad for a family or group getaway. There is fun to be had during all four seasons: You're three-quarters of a mile from a public boat landing and around eight miles from the Sand Valley Golf Resort, Northern Bay Golf Resort, and Lake Arrowhead Association for all types of fun in the warmer months. Multiple ATV and snowmobile trails are nearby, and you are a little over twenty miles from Ho-Chunk Gaming Casino in Nekoosa. But the best perks of this adorable cabin are right on-site. If the weather allows, start the day outside at the covered gazebo or sitting around the fire pit with a steaming cup of coffee, admiring the tree-lined view. When hunger strikes, head inside to the well-equipped, modern kitchen for breakfast. There is a full suite of appliances, plenty of counter space, and all the gadgets you need to whip up a feast. Dine together at the adjacent table for six, or head back outside to eat alfresco. After a day on the lake or exploring the surrounding countryside, head home and get the electric fireplace going for maximum coziness. Grab a spot on the couch and stream your favorite shows on the flatscreen mounted on the mantel. Retro-loving gamers in the group will be glued to the arcade-style Pac-Man game downstairs, where you will also find a round table for four, the perfect place for a friendly game of euchre. There is another TV down here if you can not agree on what to watch. At bedtime, four comfortable choices await. Downstairs you will find a queen room and one with a queen and matching bunks; upstairs features a king room and one with a queen. No matter how you spent the day, the perfect way to end it is back outside around the fire pit, toasting your good luck at booking the perfect rural retreat. Beautiful spacious retreat

Quiet and relaxing stay with wildlife right outside our windows. Loved watching the birds at the feeder every morning! Turkey and deer also enjoyed the feeder! Plenty of room for all our family. Hope to go back again.

Fall fishing trip

We have stayed at this location several times. The house is awesome and the outdoor living space is great. Easy driveway to get a boat in and out of just watch some of the close pine trees if you have a large boat. Boat launch that we like is just up the road alone with a bait and supply store. One of our favorite places to stay.

2024 spring fishing trip.

We love the circle drive for hassle free boat maneuvering. House is about a mile from the boat launch and the bait shop and gas station is on the way. Hoozels is a nice bar with good food and only 10 miles or so from the house. Hopefully we can return again.

Beautiful, quiet location. The house was well-equipped. I don't think we were missing anything kitchen-wise. It had an indoor fireplace but we never could get the heat element to work. The outdoor fire pit was great, with lots of seating. It was a great place for a family reunion.

The kitchen set up was great except that there weren't any kitchen dish towels or wash rags. The oven was also very dirty creating a smoky kitchen when we were using it and had to fan the smoke so the smoke detector wouldn't go off.Great outdoor space.Great layout of bedrooms.College basketball friends of 30 years with nice central location to gather.

September fishing trip.

The house is excellent. We loved the outside living space. Finally a house that has an easy to enter driveway when bringing a boat. Had to leave circle drive lights on though to have power for boat charger but glad there was power close to driveway. Boat launch and bait shop only 1 mile away which made it perfect. Been going to the area for 30 years and never stopped at that little bar/ bbq place in Dellwood. Wish I would have stop long ago, that place is excellent on the inside. Hope to be back next year on one of our fishing trips.
