My wife and I had a great time staying at the Brown Bear cabin. Everything was very nice and we loved that it is close to the boat launch on Lake Nokomis. The pet friendly option is much appreciated so our yorkie was able to stay with us.

Beautiful place and location
We stayed at Brown Bear Cabin for 4 days. Amazing home with lots of room m, and the wildlife is truly amazing. Sit and enjoy coffee in the morning and see the eagles flying past, birds, large and small woodpeckers. Watch the beavers and the family of otters too! Can’t wait to to rent again in the summer months and enjoy the beautiful deck they have facing the water. Boat landing just down the road. You don’t want to miss staying here. It truly is nature at its best!
Enjoyed a north woods weekend stay with my siblings and their significant others. We had plenty of space for everyone, all 8 of us and loved that we could have our 2 dogs with us. Unfortunately the mosquitoes were awful during our time there. Made it a bit tough to enjoy the outdoors. Bring your own pillows, everyone in our group noted how paper thin and unsupportive they felt. Also, maybe we are all foolish but, we couldn’t figure out how to make the oven work. All in all, had a great time getting together with family and enjoying the water, maybe was hoping for a bit more from the property.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the future!
Cabin was very clean upon arrival. Easy to access. Looks just like the pictures. We had a family of five and one dog. We had more than enough room for all of us to stay comfortably. We appreciate the ability to bring our dog with us on vacation. My only small concern was there were no life vests available for us to use with the kayaks. We had to purchase our own. Also, between the brown bear and the black bear there are four kayaks and only one good paddle. We made due but would have at least appreciated a “bring your own life vest” notice somewhere in the listing. The bed pillows were all pancake flat as well. Again, very small thing and we made the best of it. Overall nice place. We enjoyed our stay.
