About this property

Lakefront home with private dock, screened porch, woodstove, fast WiFi, & W/D

Summary:

Tranquility Base

The Space:

Welcome to lakefront Tranquility Base, where you can spend an autumn afternoon with nothing but the leaves rustling in the trees for a soundtrack or a cozy winter evening snuggled up in front of the gas woodstove. If you’re visiting in the summer, go swimming or fishing off your private dock - you’ve got 125 feet of sand frontage right on lovely Lake George. There’s a public boat launch across the lake as well, so explore the 443-acre lake each day from the water.

At home, start the day on the enclosed porch with some coffee in the porch swing - complete with two cupholders. When hunger strikes, step inside to the full, open kitchen to make some breakfast. Solid wood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and plenty of counter space make meal prep easy. Throughout the home, you’ll find a warm cabin vibe, with wood-paneled walls, traditional furnishings, and wood floors. Unwind at home in the living room, with the same lovely lake view. Entertainment options include a streaming-capable TV with a DVD player, a dart board, a telescope for admiring the stars, and free high-speed Wi-Fi. Even better, unplug entirely and spend the night outside, roasting marshmallows around the firepit. Another perfect lake day awaits tomorrow - all that’s left to do is book.

Lake Escape

We had a great week on the lake. The house was nice, clean, quiet and conveniently located outside of town. My husband and I enjoyed fishing from the dock catching sunfish and perch. Hearing the Loons in the morning while we had coffee was an extra treat. We will definitely be back!

Cozy getaway

Exactly as the stating showed, cozy and clean getaway for the week. Tucked away on a point in a quiet neighborhood. Covered porch works well for storing things and hanging on the swinging chair. Gas stove gets the place to warm quickly. Not great for fishing since the water is shallow near shore but would probably be nice for swimming. Dock was out as I was there early November.

Summer Getaway

The dock and lake access were amazing. Sitting and fishing from the dock was great. We caught a lot of fish and several different species which was fun. During the week, it was very peaceful. We brought our own kayaks and paddle board to enjoy the lake, which I highly recommend. The screen porch was great to sit outside, eat, and play games. We visited in mid/late June, the flys and mosquitoes were not bad (compared to spending a day in Northern Michigan and getting eaten alive!), a lot of nearby properties spray, and the collective effort seems to make a difference. You need to plan ahead a little, but if you do, this was a great way to spend a week.
