My family loved the comfortable bedrooms , spacious living areas and kitchen . This house was perfect for a cozy girls trip .We played board games , watched Netflix on their nice TVs ,cooked and went on walks . We parked at Booth Bay Center and visited the bridge, exploring town . We saw a huge starfish in the water there! Some cold days during our visit in April but this house was warm .

Loved the location and proximity to Boothbay harbor. Thoroughly enjoyed being on the lake and exploring in the kayaks, We relaxed at the end of the day by the firepit to enjoy the sunsets. Getting to town, the beach, and the botanical garden was easy.
Very cozy house in an absolutely lovely spot. We really enjoyed the outdoor space and the peace and quiet.

Lovely stay
It was a beautiful house on a very scenic lot, my fiancé and I very much enjoyed our stay. I would only note, that much of the town is closed during the first week of November, so beware of that!
Great family vacation. House is well- maintained, has plenty of living room and dining room seating, and kitchen cookware. Enjoyed the lake view, the fire pit and kayaks. Close proximity to town. The fans kept the house comfortable in the 85 degree days.
We had an amazing time with our family of four. Very clean, easy check in process and we loved the property, right on the water with great views. We enjoyed use of the kayaks and canoe and loved the fire pit right by the lake. Would highly recommend this property for a family stay!!
Great location, close to town. Check in process was simple. The property was very clean and everything was as expected. Would highly recommend this property
We loved our stay at this cabin! Check-in was easy, the cabin was very clean, plenty of space for our family (and dogs!). We loved the location being so close to the harbor. We fished, kayaked, enjoyed coffee on the dock and s'mores by the fire pit. Very relaxing, and plenty to do!

amazing pond house!
We loved the canoe, the dock, the sunset over the pond and swimming at the pond beach. The house was great for cooking and so close to many restaurants, bakeries, and beautiful coastal destinations. We want to come back!

Perfect hideaway for a family of 4.
Plenty of space for a family of 4. Kitchen well fitted. Comfortable bedding. A mere 5 min drive from Boothbay Harbor. Really quite neighborhood. Would love to go back during summer time to enjoy the lake.
Nice camp property on large lot with direct pond access. Very quiet neighborhood and less than 2 miles from Boothbay harbor. Convenient and out of crowds. We loved the big open kitchen and the dock with canoes. 3 year old granddaughter loved to play in the large yard.

Hidden Vacation Home
Location of the home was perfect! Close to the center of town but tucked away in the woods. We loved the outdoor seating and the fire pit. My only complaint is about the shower... it needs some improvements.

The quiet location was nice, and convenient to downtown. The heat and hot water worked. The home’s overall condition is very worn inside and outside. The bathroom pocket door didn’t work properly, the queen beds were not comfortable, a woodpecker was banging on the upper siding, electrical outlets were loose, and there were a lot of cobwebs in the rafters and bathroom just to list a few items. The home needs deep cleaning and maintenance. We will not be staying here again and would not recommend it for the price paid.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed the location of Appalachee Pond Waterfront Cottage. We’re sorry to learn that there were a few issues during your stay. We’d like to inform you and future guests that the bathroom pocket door has been repaired. After inspecting the home, we were unable to find any loose outlets, and our housekeeping team has addressed the concerns you mentioned. While we understand the woodpecker activity can be unexpected, it’s unfortunately part of the natural setting, and mattress comfort can vary by personal preference. We appreciate your input and hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future.
Three friends rented this house and it was clean, comfortable spacious, private and quiet. A wonderful place! The location is really nice since there is private access to the pond and the ocean is a short walk away. The Maine Botanical Gardens are nearby which is an amazing place to go. Another day we went to Pemaquid lighthouse. I highly recommend this house as a great place to stay!

Great house with a great location
We loved this house! From here we were able to walk into town as well as Barrett park. Our dog loved the pond and we enjoyed fishing and kayaking in it as well. We just wished there would have been fans for the bedrooms- they got a little stuffy at night and wished we would have brought one along with us.
This was our first trip to Maine for my daughters, friends and myself. This location was wonderful. House as described and private. Company was very responsive via text with answers and information. I would definitely rent this location again.
