Beautiful spot, right on the lake! Listening to the water lap the rocks around the dock and the loons’ calls was so relaxing. Easy access to restaurants and shops, with so many goodies to be found. Great activities in the area and you return to this quaint cabin to enjoy the lake and breathtaking sunsets. Highly recommend!!

A small rustic cabin with water access, as advertised. Easy access to town and hiking trails. We would consider staying here again.

Beautiful Rustic Cabin
Beautiful little rustic cabin on the shores of Moosehead Lake. Great sunsets and the opportunity to see sea planes come and go. Our family had a great weekend there!
Great stay in a look cabin located on the lake. Well equipped, very clean, convenient iocsted to lake. Town of Greenville and other great locations. Plan to stay there again next summer.
We stayed at the cabin for a long weekend at the end of June. The cabin is as it was described - rustic but clean with incredible views from the dock. Towels and bed linens were very clean and we were able to login to our streaming services in the TV. For a last minute affordable rental this property did the job, but the cabin was not very comfortable for our family. The bunk bed mattresses were very bad, even for a kid, and the queen size bed sink into the middle with two adults so nobody slept well. It rained the first 24 hours of our stay and with all the trees covering the property did not dry out and left the back stairs and slate pathway rocks very slippery leading to a fall. Wish there was a full size coffee brewing appliance and easier access through the kitchen door for loading in luggage and groceries. The only other comment we have is that house instructions from Vacasa and what the owners have pinned up in the house were conflicting. There are instructions for how to get the wood stove going with all the materials you need to warm up (yes, it was chilly enough to need a heat source the last weekend in June) but other communication that from the management company that said wood stove should never be used.) Luckily, there was a space heater in the living room to use! We saw a handful of deer, a big healthy fox, families of ducks, and many small red squirrels … but no moose. Food from Jamos Pizza downtown was very good!

Great view
I loved the view of the lake and the seaplane taking off and landing. Please note that renters are required to do the dishes and take trash to a separate location at departure.
Was happy with the house layout, the porch area and the location. I was not happy that none of the windows in the house would open making a house without air conditioning hotter than what it needed to be…very uncomfortable at times.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the house layout, porch area, and location. We are truly sorry to hear that the windows not opening made the home uncomfortably warm at times, especially without air conditioning. We understand how important fresh air and comfort are during your vacation, and we apologize for any inconvenience this caused. Please know that we have shared your comments with our local team to see if there are any solutions or improvements we can make for future guests. Your comfort and satisfaction are very important to us. We appreciate you choosing Vacasa and hope to have the opportunity to host you again with an even better experience.
This property is only steps away from Moosehead Lake with a convenient ramp and dock. Close to downtown Greenville and shops, restaurants, museums and natural beauty throughout the North Woods. Neighborhood was quiet, very little traffic (other than deer & additional critters) and perfect sunset views from the porch overlooking the lake. Basic needs met, along with WiFi, tv with streaming services. Classic interior style for a historical family cabin.
Wonderful location right in town, yet lots of privacy with trees shading the house. Cabin very well equipped. I would describe it as rustic in a good way. Loved the treats and dog dish, though I wasn’t able to bring my dog as expected. Lake’s edge is just a few easy steps away with a wonderful swimming dock. Great place for kids. Wished I could have stayed longer.
The property is a classic Maine cabin. Very warm and inviting. It had everything we needed. The front porch reminding me of On Golden Pond, an idyllic water view with mountains in the background. The waterfront has a great dock but bring water shoes as water access is a scramble down the rocks from the shore. We rented a paddle board and kayak from Northern Outfitters which was easy to put on our roof rack. Local restaurants and shops are just up the road from the cabin. It has private waterfront, clean and well laid out. We will rent again.

Exactly What I Imagined Maine To Be
This cabin is rustic but beautiful inside! And the view out the back is to die for! Watch the sun set right from your private dock. Didn't use the wood stove but looks like is will easily warm the whole cabin. Mattress and pillows could use an upgrade. And whoever washed dishes before us needs a lesson (we ended up pre-washing dishes we used). Too bad the canoe is not for guest use. Almost perfect cabin with just the right amenities!

Although the cabin was not cleaned before we arrived, the Vacasa cleaning crew came right over after we called. They said it was a scheduling problem that caused them to not have the cabin cleaned before we got there. I would have expected a proactive call to let us know about the problem and for them to have corrected the schedule before we got there and called them about it. Vacasa is also refunding us our cleaning fee.
