Great place at a lake
The house is very nice and well equipped. We took the kayaks and spent a whole day on lake Sebec. It was great!

Nice stay.
The view was beautiful and the house was well equipped. The screens need attention along with a few other minor things. Very fun space. We would definitely rent again.
The kitchen was well stocked, and the rooms were perfect. We appreciated the attention to detail in amenities as well.
Stars at night, sunsets, and even the gentle rain that fell didn't hamper our stay. We spent most of our time in the enclosed sunroom. It was quiet, secluded, and precisely what we sought during our stay.

Ridge view cottage review
Great older well kept Cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed for a couple of late October nights of relaxing after hiking at nearby Peaks-Kenny State Park. Loved the upstairs shower, the porches, and the hot air furnace.
Nice place, listing was mostly accurate, quiet and peaceful (though I was late in the season). Only issues were the somewhat "wonky" thermostat and the constant gurgling of the kitchen sink drain.

Beautiful cabin, great view. The glassed in porch made a perfect place to watch the sunset. The cabin was larger than expected. We felt welcome and comfortable.
The only negative were the directions .

Relax and Enjoy
We really enjoyed our stay and the accomodations were excellent. Upon arrival we had a problem with finding the keypad, but a local helped us out. We didn't have any communication with the property manager, so I could not rate it.
Nothing fancy about this cabin, but we loved every moment we were there! Check-in and check-out via email/text was easy! The cabin was clean. There was plenty of space for our family of four! We enjoyed using the kayaks, paddleboards, and canoe on several occasions! If you have littles, you may want to consider bringing life jackets as we were unable to find any in the cabin. Maybe one downside was no air-conditioning, but there were plenty of fans available to use. It is a bit of a drive to get to Greenville, Millinocket, and the northern entrance of Baxter State Park. Greenville and Millinocket were a little over an hour away and the Matagamon (north) gate to BSP was over two hours away. Overall, I would highly recommend this cabin!
The house is in a great location right on the lake. Upon arrival, the house was very clean. There was a bouquet of fresh flowers in a vase on the kitchen table which was a lovely welcoming touch.
Shortly after being there, we noticed that the trash bin outside had not been emptied and was full. The management company sent us a text to confirm that we were able to get into the house. We notified them about the trash and within the hour, someone was at the house emptying it. The communication with the management company was excellent and they were very responsive.
I highly recommend staying here. We will be back!
This place is set near one end of a lovely lake. We stayed there on a rainy weekend so it was time spent largely indoors. The kitchen was functional and well equipped. The downsides were that overall the lighting in the place was poor. Perhaps not a dealbreaker in the summer, but definitely a downer in inclement weather and shorter fall days. Kitchen light fixures were burnt out. Property management came and fixed one. The other one over the kitchen sink needed replacing and that didn't happen on the weekend. The beds were too soft, backaches as a result. We did enjoy the fireplace one night and did go for a nice hike nearby. Overall a mixed experience.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the lovely lake setting and had a chance to use the fireplace and explore the nearby hiking trails. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered with the lighting and the beds. Your comments regarding the burnt-out kitchen light fixtures and the comfort of the beds are valuable to us, and we will be sure to address these concerns with our maintenance team to ensure improvements are made for future guests. We appreciate your understanding regarding the timing of the repairs and hope that despite these challenges, you were able to find some enjoyment during your stay. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a more seamless experience in the future.
Our family stayed during the 2024 Eclipse, and we enjoyed an amazing experience in a beautiful location!
Pros: excellent location right on the lake, well-stocked kitchen with relatively sharp knives (unusual for a rental!), great communication with the local agent, easy check-in and check-out. It was actually a bigger space than it looked like in the photos online.
Cons: The plumbing is a little funky - the sink and downstairs toilet gurgles when you flush the upstairs toilet. The downstairs toilet was not flushing properly so we didn't use it much. I told the agent it wasn't an urgent issue and we didn't stay long enough to need a fix. There was an RO system for drinking water but it was not turned on (and you can tell it hadn't been turned on in awhile). The information binder was buried in the cabinet and when we found it halfway through our stay it said not to drink the well water - but oh well, we already were! There were some conflicting check-out instructions, like whether or not to strip the beds. The cleaners did a great job cleaning after the previous renters, but you could tell the place could use a real deep cleaning (for example, the heater vents were pretty filthy and would blow dust out when the heat kicked on). Overall these were somewhat minor annoyances for us, so we were still satisfied with the overall experience.
I would still recommend this as a comfortable, lakeside cabin to enjoy a family vacation!
