About this property

Modern cabin, large interior space, sleeps 6.

Cabin 2 is our largest of log cabins within the group, accommodates 6 guests with an oversized shower, handicap sink, grab bars. A full size refrigerator and sink, large table to eat or play games, smart tv, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven and electric skillet available. One queen size private bedroom with door, a trundle twin on the main level and two twin beds located in the loft. All linens are provided including sheets, bath towels, and blankets. Dishware and utensils are well stocked in our cabinets.
Enjoy the beautiful sunsets over our pond on your covered porch, or picnic table. A charcoal grill permanently affixed in front of your cabin is a great way to enjoy a barbecue or s'mores.
Excellent hiking and fishing in nearby parks, lakes and rivers for trout, small mouth bass, etc. You are welcome to walk our trails in the summer and explore the natural habitat. During winter, access the snowmobile trails which are just a few hundred yards away, snow shoeing, cross country ski or ice fishing. This peaceful setting is a great way to detach from busy, hectic workplaces you have left behind. Local attractions include Peaks Kenny State Park, Baxter State Park, Moosehead Lake Region, Katahdin Iron Work, Gulf of Hagas or the Appalachian Trail. All just a short car ride north. Bar Harbor is a day trip away, about 1 hour 45 minutes. There are several local restaurants nearby and grocery and conveniences only 4 miles away.

Beautiful Maine woods getaway!

The cabin was everything we hoped for and more! Beautiful quiet spot in the deep woods, incredible stars and sunrise! Brenda was a super host and made sure we had everything we needed. We stayed in the winter and it was warm and cozy the whole time. If you’re looking for a quiet northern getaway, this is the spot!

Wonderful!

We’ve stayed in the cabins before, a few years ago, and we will definitely be going back! It’s so beautiful and quiet! The owner is very helpful and told us where we could find activities for our kids and places to eat! We went up to visit family but we still made sure to spend time relaxing in the cabin because of how wonderful the surrounds are! We can’t wait to go back!

Quiet cabin in the Maine woods

This set of 5 cabins in the woods is quiet, but has access to excellent restaurants and is close to the Moosehead lake area. The owners are very friendly (as are their two dogs) and enjoy meeting their guests. As a first experience with this sort of rental, it could not have gone better. The directions and communication with the owner were clear and straightforward, and everything went very well. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a getaway in the Maine wilderness.

Phenomenal place

The cabins are extremely clean and comfortable. Brenda and Pete are exceptional hosts, and were in contact with us leading up to and during our stay making sure we had everything we needed. Brenda made us a fabulous breakfast (make sure and try Brenda's bread!) Will definitely stay there again. Brenda and Pete, thanks for the hospitality!

Quiet peaceful and comfortable

Upon our arrival we were greeted by our host Brenda who showed us our lovely little cabin which had everything we needed including a porch to sit outside and watch the sunset. She later brought us homemade muffins and fresh fruit salad. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the scenic area including Lake Sebec and Moosehead Lake.

Snowmobilers jump on sleds from cabin porch in the winter. Hikers travel an hour or less to great trails. Great space for large families. Dining table opens up to seat 6, enough area for everyone inside and out. Picnic table and charcoal grill for warmer months' dining. Such fun to see everyone enjoying our great space!
