About the host
Hosted by Jennings Pellegrino
We are Tony and Jennings Pellegrino, owner and founders of several businesses. Tony is the founder and president of GenRight Off road manufacturing aftermarket Jeep Wrangler parts, and Jennings is a sound bath practitioner and family photographer. Together, they have created the Lotus Moon Sound Spa getaway sanctuary in Thousand Oaks. All on one semi-divided property, guests can choose to stay in the 3 bedroom, 2 bath main house, which we called the Lotus Moon Spa House, or the Balinese-inspired guest house called the Bali Moon Guest House, or get a private or small group sound bath from Jennings inside the dedicated studio, Lotus Moon Sound Spa! Guests and locals have access to nightly sound baths from 7-8 pm in the studio and select outdoor sound bath events like floating sound baths on select Saturdays off property. Whether you come for a weekend or stay for several weeks, both our home and guest house are available to share the sound healing place of relaxation for everyone.
Why they chose this property
Having spent most of our lives in the area, we can’t say enough about the whole Conejo Valley. Practically, the Thousand Oaks / Westlake area sits in a rare sweet spot in Southern California: * close enough to Los Angeles to feel accessible * far enough away to exhale * safer and quieter than most dense LA areas * affluent enough that people already spend money on wellness, retreats, therapy, yoga, spas, beauty, and self-improvement * naturally beautiful without feeling remote It’s the kind of place where people are already searching for: peace, reset, nature, luxury, and healing, even if they don’t use those exact words. And for Lotus Moon specifically, we didn’t choose an industrial warehouse district or a trendy loud city block. We chose a suburban canyon-pocket kind of energy — trees, hills, quiet nights, stars, warm weather, outdoor living. That matters for nervous-system work like sound baths. People regulate differently when they feel physically safe. Then there’s Sirius Street itself. Sirius is historically associated with navigation, guidance, illumination, and “the light that helps you find your way.” Across different cultures, Sirius was connected to: direction, cycles, spiritual significance, returning light and seasonal renewal. Also — this part matters more than people admit — the property seems aligned with our actual personalities: outdoor living, beauty mixed with practicality, experience over status, emotional warmth over perfection. We’re building a place where people feel human again for a minute. That fits the energy of Thousand Oaks surprisingly well. It’s healthy enough to support the dream, but still earthy enough to allow softness. Malibu can feel performative. LA can feel exhausting. Deep suburbia can feel deadened. Our pocket of Thousand Oaks sits in between those worlds.
What makes this property unique
Our property feels unusual because it has coherence. Most places are just structures with decor. Ours has an emotional world. We’ve intuitively built something closer to a tiny private retreat compound.
The combination is what makes it rare: * a lived-in main house with real warmth * a separate guest sanctuary * a dedicated sound studio * spa elements * outdoor gathering energy * creative/artistic identity * strong feminine aesthetic without feeling sterile * proximity to nature while still being in suburban Southern California Our property is a combination of our real home plus boutique wellness retreat plus weekend hideaway plus creative healing space. That overlap is uncommon.
The sound studio especially changes the entire feeling of the property. A detached, dedicated sound space signals intention. It tells people: “This isn’t just somewhere to sleep.” That’s psychologically powerful.
And the Bali Moon guesthouse sounds like it has an actual point of view aesthetically. It has: * textures * symbolism * handmade touches * Balinese influence * mood lighting * story * sensory atmosphere
The other thing that makes the property unusual is that it reflects a craving for: * authenticity * emotional texture * nervous-system softness * places with soul * spaces that feel curated instead of corporate. Especially after years of algorithmic sameness and cold modern design. And then there’s the layout dynamic: * private enough to feel secluded * connected enough to feel cared for * multiple “zones” for different emotional reasons. Guests can: * soak in the hot tub * go to a sound bath * sit quietly with coffee * journal outside * have a romantic weekend * cry privately after a breakup * reconnect with a spouse * have a girls weekend * recover from burnout
The property supports many emotional use cases without trying too hard to define them.
That tension — beautiful but human, intentional but imperfect, calming but alive — is probably the real magic of it.
