About the host
Hosted by Karen Abouzeid
Hi, I’m Karen! I am so happy to share my home with you.
This house is a very special sanctuary for me; I love coming here to clear my mind in the peaceful nature that surrounds us. My favorite days are spent exploring the nearby hiking trails, followed by a quiet evening sitting by the fire, relaxing in the sauna, or soaking in the hot tub while stargazing under our incredibly clear night skies. It truly is the perfect place to reset and find balance.
As your host, I want you to enjoy that same sense of tranquility. I’ve ensured the home is updated with all 2026 safety essentials, including verified smoke detectors, so you can relax with total peace of mind. I respect your privacy, but I’m always just a message away via the Vrbo app if you need a hiking recommendation or tips on the best local spots.
I look forward to hosting your peaceful getaway!
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood specifically because it offers the rare combination of total seclusion and accessibility.
While the property feels like a private world of its own, it’s located in a community that values quiet and natural beauty. I fell in love with the fact that you can step out your door and be at the entrance of Shenandoah National Park within minutes, yet return to a neighborhood so peaceful that the only thing you hear at night is the crackle of a fire.
The lack of light pollution here is extraordinary, making it one of the best spots I’ve ever found for stargazing. It’s more than just a location; it’s a community of nature lovers where the pace of life naturally slows down. Whether you’re here to 'sweat it out' in the sauna or find a quiet corner of the woods to reset, this neighborhood provides the perfect backdrop for that escape.
