About this property

Villa Jaguar – Nuakú Jungle

Summary:

When surrounded by nature, ideas flow better. That's how Nuakú was born.

In the middle of Costa Rica's rainforest, where someone dreamt of sharing this experience with the world. A place where luxury and nature become one.

The Space:

The privacy of each of our 4 villas makes your stay unique. A thermal plunge pool with a view. Exclusive trails filled with Costa Rican wildlife. Soundproofed rooms with a blackout effect to ensure good rest.

Thoughtfully designed to create a calm and restorative stay. Personalized, warm service. Ideal for those who seek meaningful connections with nature.

Guest Access:

Nuakú’s guests have full access to the entire villa. They will enjoy all the private amenities and the surrounding natural areas prepared for their stay. Every trail, every villa, every detail has been carefully designed to offer a sense of warmth, comfort, and genuine connection with the amazing jungle.

The Neighborhood:

Nuakú Jungle sits in the mountains of San Carlos.

The towns of Aguas Zarcas and Ciudad Quesada are 10 and 20 minutes away, with restaurants, shops, and everyday essentials. From there, the region opens up: whitewater rafting in Sarapiquí (40 min), the viewpoints of Laguna de Hule and San Vicente (45 min), the waterfalls of Bajos del Toro (1 hr), and the Arenal Volcano area, with its hot springs and adventure (under 1 hr). Poás Volcano National Park is about 90 minutes away.

But what makes Nuakú different is what you come back to at the end of the day. A private place of forest and mist, where hot springs, exclusive trails, and unhurried stillness make the outside world feel very far away.

Getting Around:

A rental car is the most convenient way to explore, giving you the freedom to discover waterfalls, hot springs, and viewpoints at your own pace. Everything in the region is within comfortable reach.

No 4x4 needed, just a relaxed drive through the mountains. Clear directions and GPS coordinates are sent ahead of your stay, so the way in feels simple from the very first turn.

Prefer not to drive? Private transfers can be arranged from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) or La Fortuna, and taxis are readily available in Aguas Zarcas and Ciudad Quesada. Whatever you need, it can be organized for you.

Once you arrive, there's nothing left to figure out. The trails, the pool, and the stillness are all just steps away.

Other Things to Note:

Pets & celebrations: Nuakú is a pet-free jungle retreat, protecting the wildlife that calls this rainforest home. Smoking is allowed in designated outdoor areas only. Villas stay quiet and private. Events and special celebrations can be hosted in our dedicated event space with prior coordination.

Respecting the jungle: Please don't feed wildlife, stay on marked trails, and let nature stay undisturbed unless guided by our team.

Quiet hours: 9 pm–9 am is quiet time, so every guest enjoys a peaceful night's rest.

Cancellation policy: Free cancellation up to 8 days before check-in. Cancellations within 7 days incur a 50% charge. Late checkout available on request.

What to pack: Costa Rica's weather changes fast. Pack closed-toe shoes and a rain jacket. Trails are mostly paved and easy to walk; a few offer more adventure for hikers who want it.

Age policy: Nuakú welcomes guests ages 10 and up. Ideal for couples, families with older kids, and small groups seeking a quiet luxury nature escape.

Interaction with Guests:

Our team carries knowledge of this land, held with genuine warmth. Trained in tourism and hospitality, they know every trail, every hidden corner, the birds that sing at dawn, and the creatures that move through the mist at night.

At reception, we hold an unhurried space where every detail of your stay is held with quiet, thoughtful attention.

Your check-in is yours alone. Personal, at your own pace, never rushed. And from that first warm welcome, assistance stays close by, ready the moment you need it.

Above all, we protect your stillness and serenity.
