About this property

Pearlie’s Place near Nolin Lake, Mammoth Cave, and Blue Holler.

Located in Anneta (Leitchfield address), "Pearlie's Place" offers a quiet retreat for guests. With three comfortable bedrooms featuring two queen beds and one full bed, there’s plenty of space to relax.

We're first opening the house now, in summer of 2026, so many things are NEW and ready for you to enjoy - especially the important things like bedding, pillows, linens and towels.

There are three bedrooms. All the bedrooms have touch-controlled bedside lamps with USB-A and USB-C charging slots, as well as new Roku televisions so that you may access your own favorite paid streaming services, and a variety of free services, as well. Again, all of the bedding, pillows, and linens are new.

All baths have bar and liquid soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion provided. We also provide laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent pods, and dish soap for the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the utensils and dishes that you will need for indoor and outdoor cooking. We provide charcoal for the grill, and any utensils you may need. Coffee and sugar/sweetener is provided as well.

If there's anything you need for your stay, we're less than a mile from Ralph's Market in Anneta, and right at a mile from Dollar General, conveniently located at Moutardier Road and Highway 259.

If cooking on vacation isn't your thing, we encourage you to check out locally-owned Oak Anchor Grill, about a mile north of us, for great options for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is servedon Fridays and Saturdays. Leitchfield is approximately 10 minutes away with a variety of fast-food and sit-down restaurant options, grocery stores (IGA and Walmart), and Walmart offers delivery to this address (free for plus members).

The yard amounts to around two acres, so there's plenty of room for you, your kids, your pets, or all of these to enjoy. We're over 300' from the nearest thoroughfare, (Dickeys Mill Road, a 1.5 lane county road), and around 700' from the state highway, KY-259. Quietness and privacy abound, here.

If you are visiting us to do any boating or ATV riding, we are able to offer you covered parking for your boat or ATV, so long as it will fit into our pole-barn building on the property. Please arrange this with the host prior to check-in so that we can explain the access and area available to you.

Across Dickeys Mill Road, there's a community park located adjacent to the Anneta Fire Department. This is within sight of the house and yard. Amenities of the park include a walking/ jogging track, playground, basketball goals, playground equipment for the kids, a pickleball court, and a picnic area.

The hosts live around 10 minutes from this rental, so we will often be available in person to help with anything you may need. We are a message or call away! Since we travel often, (one of us travels for work), we know that your expectations of cleanliness and comfort are high, and we plan to exceed them all!

We are a family of 5 with 3 preteen/teen kids and this place was perfect for our stay in the area. We utilized the park right across the street both days we stayed, loved having the hot tub to use, the games available to play, and enjoyed all the available indoor and outdoor seating. This location was very clean when we arrived, communication with the host throughout the entire booking and renting process was exceptional, and it had just about everything we needed, including necessary kitchen supplies for cooking, and detergent for our load of laundry. The host graciously provided an extension cord from the garage so we could more easily trickle charge our electric car during our stay. We didn't end up using the grill while we were there but there were grilling supplies available, so had we stayed longer we probably would have. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and there was plenty of space to turn around at the head of the extended driveway. It was about a half hour drive from the Mammoth Cave Visitor Center, where we were exploring during the day, but there were grocery stores along the way and we thought the drive was fine.Overall we really enjoyed our stay here; the room décor was fun, the country openness was refreshing, the beds were comfortable, and it felt like a home away from home. Would definitely consider staying again if we were in the area.

We couldn’t have asked for better guests than this couple. Truly, they came as strangers and left as friends. 100% recommend these fine folks! They left the rental in immaculate condition and were considerate, clean and communicative.

About the host

As an airline pilot, I travel for a living. I’ve had many great experiences in my travels, and hope to pass some of those on to my own guests.

My wife and I live in Bee Spring, KY and raise beef cattle on our farm. We spend our time lovingly restoring our historic farmhouse, barns, and the farm itself - as well as caring for our pup, Gunner, and our cattle.

We enjoy traveling, ourselves, especially taking ocean cruises.

Why they chose this property

We most enjoy the peace and quiet of our country setting, along with the dear friends and family who are so near to us.

This house is surrounded by 108 acres of farmland that we own. The yard is over two acres, itself. It’s quiet, peaceful and completely private, yet there are amenities of all sorts located just minutes away!

What makes this property unique

We want this house to be your home away from home. It’s been in our family since it was built, and has been lovingly cared-for since. When you’re here, we consider you as family - you have our full attention, and dedication, we want to make your stay the best possible. We hope you’ll come back to see us, and tell your friends and family to visit us, too!

This house has been in our family since it was new. It was built by my aunt and uncle, Pearlie Mae and Athel York, who have been is only residents. We named it “Pearlie’s Place” in her memory. She spent fifty years here, often hosting guests and family - and greatly enjoyed hosting overnight guests in her three overnight rental cabins in the Great Smoky Mountains for many years. Hosting and hospitality run in the family! We’ve lovingly renovated this house in hopes that you will feel comfortable and at home. Several touches remain from her time here, especially the Coca Cola memorabilia. Pearlie Mae spent her working years as an owner/manager of a local supermarket, (Bestway Foods), and amassed a large collection of Coca Cola items which filled the house at one time.

It would do her, and us, no greater honor than to have you love your time here; so if we can do anything to improve your arrival or your stay with us, don’t hesitate to ask!
