Peaceful & well-appointed. This quiet cabin on the lake served as ‘home base’ for a three day tour of southern Wisconsin. A perfect couples get-away for the two of us, it would have been just as well suited had we brought our two adult kids with separate rooms for each. Though among the smallest of the surrounding cabins, the floor plan was well-considered and spacious with a deck equally as spacious and while the dock was small, it still would have accommodated four of us in chairs or parking for three kayaks/canoes. The cabin community at Clear Lake is tight, literally: it’s a small lake with many neighbors. But it is each to his own and folks are polite when there is interaction. That said, we often felt we had the lake to ourselves. All appliances, furniture and other amenities were new as far as we could tell and, if not are very well maintained. Clear Lake and Milton sit squarely at the center of the Frank Lloyd Wright Trail (our reason) with a number of other draws and attractions complimenting. If nothing else, one could spend days just cruising the rolling hills of southern Wisconsin. We booked late, with only one other offering locally (in town). This cabin in Clear Lake turned out to be one of the best suited, most affordable VRBO’s we have ever booked. Would definitely recommend.
