To the south-west, for example, Fécamp, known for its Palais Bénédictine liqueur museum, the pleasant seaside resort of Yport and a little further Etretat, which has attracted numerous painters for centuries with its bizarre rock formations. Further north you can visit the lively port city of Dieppe and the slightly higher Bay of the Somme, which is considered one of the most beautiful bays in the world. The historic capital of Normandy, Rouen, with its countless church towers, narrow streets and half-timbered houses has attracted and continues to inspire many artists such as the Impressionist Claude Monet
