Great and quite location in the charming town of Bonassola.
Pros: The property had a great view in a rustic tiny village.
Cons: Overall we enjoyed our stay but it's needs to be mentioned beforehand, that the rooftop terrace is not so private as is seems to be on the pictures .. actually half of the terrace is shared with the neighbour apartment next to it and its too close for each other and gives you very low pricey if both parties are outside ...
Furniture is a bit run down outside etc.

Nice location, poorly maintained.
The holiday flat is beautifully situated just above the village, in a small group of houses, 10 minutes' walk from Bonassola railway station. Wonderful view of the village and the bay. Quiet location. Great starting point for hikes and you can also reach the beach very quickly on foot. However, the flat does not correspond to the impression given by the advert: it is generally poorly maintained and urgently needs renovation, the furniture and other infrastructure are in very poor condition. A working Bialetti (for making espresso) was missing and was not organised despite requests. The so-called ‘private’ terrace is shared with the flat next door, no privacy. Some of the crockery was dirty. No wifi in the flat. Definitely too expensive for what it offers.

The Hills of Bonassola
We loved our time in Bonassola! The flat sits atop a hill (approx. 500 steps from the train station - I counted!) in a beautiful residential building surrounded by gardens and flowered hillside with a steep steeped pathway to town. The view was epic. It must be noted that the "private"terrace" is NOT PRIVATE AT ALL. It shares a low wall with the neighboring flat - no privacy whatsoever if the flat is occupied. We got lucky in that the neighboring flat was empty after the first night. The first night of our stay we had to close the doors to block out the cigarette smoke from our neighbors and put sheets up on the drying lines for privacy. Also, there is NO WIFI.
The flat is lovely with most of the things a family of three needs for a 4 night stay. We cooked and did laundry easily. For two bedrooms there was just one fan in the heat of summer and the loveliness of the flat was marred a bit by the messy cleaning items stored out in the open on the stairwell to the front door of the flat and in the corner by the bathroom. The communication with our host via WhatsApp was good, friendly and responsive after we got over a initial tense late check in conversation - our host insisted we check in before 8 pm or we faced a 25 Euro fine. There is no mention of that in the listing. Not a great way to start our stay : (
Once we settling in, we enjoyed our time in the flat and LOVED our time in Bonassola!

Tout d’abord l’accueil par une tierce personne qui ne parlais pas français. Dès le départ un soucis de serrure on le recontacte pour dire que la clé ne fonctionne pas, il revient la change devant nous testons c’est ok. Nous laissons les deux dames d’entretien et partons à la visites du village 209 marche pour descendre le centre du village,si non il faut payer le parking. La propreté est sommaire un canapé tachés une douche dégoûtante avec de la moisissure dommage que nous ne puissions pas ajouter de photos… table de salon la vitre est fissuré avec des éclats.

Mauvaise information
L'appartement devait avoir l'air climatisé ainsi que l'accès au WiFi et ni un ni l'autre était disponible. Avec des adolescents et un conjoint cardiaque, ceci n'a pas du tout plus. La propriètaire n'a rien fait pour essayer d'arranger la situation. J'essaie de contacter VRBO....et il est impossible de parler a qui que ce soit. Très déçu de ma réservation.

Wir wurden hier von allem unglaublich enttäuscht, von dreckigem Geschirr bis hin zu falschen Angaben in der Anzeige. Gelockt wird mit einem "privaten Balkon" welcher lediglich von einer niedrigen Wand von dem Balkon der Nachbarn getrennt ist, somit ist keinerlei Privatsphäre vorhanden.
Das Geschirr war unglaublich dreckig, überall waren die Essens Reste der Vorgänger dran.
Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war nicht möglich, wir hatten ein Problem mit der Toilette welches einfach ignoriert wurde, obwohl er uns zu Beginn seine Handynummer gegeben hatte.
In der Beschreibung war zudem Klima und WLAN angeben, beides sind in dieses Wohnung nicht vorhanden. Es gibt lediglich einen alten Ventilator welcher gerade mal für ein Zimmer reicht.
Zudem waren die Möbel, besonders Sofa und Stühle extrem dreckig und heruntergekommen. Das Sofa war befallen von Flecken und ist somit unzumutbar als weiteres Bett.
Alles in allem wurden unsere Erwartungen im negativen Sinne übertroffen.
