About this property

The Beverley Loft - Historic Downtown Staunton

Welcome to The Beverley Loft, a luxury loft overlooking East Beverley Street in the heart of historic downtown Staunton.

Recently featured on the Destination Channel's Staycation and showcased on the Historic Staunton Foundation's 50th Holiday House Tour, this one-of-a-kind retreat offers an unforgettable stay in one of Staunton's most architecturally distinctive historic buildings.

Originally built in 1894 as Staunton's famed Racket Store, the building has been thoughtfully transformed into a sophisticated urban retreat that seamlessly blends historic architecture with minimalist modern design. Accessed through a private rear courtyard entrance, The Beverley Loft opens into an expansive loft-style space that feels both grand and inviting.

The original open floor plan, made possible by cast iron columns and structural iron beams, creates a dramatic setting unlike anything else in downtown Staunton. Soaring ceilings, restored yellow pine floors, oversized windows overlooking East Beverley Street, curated artwork, designer lighting, and clean architectural lines create a refined atmosphere filled with natural light and timeless character.

Designed for gathering and entertaining, The Beverley Loft features a chef-inspired kitchen with premium appliances, spacious dining and lounge areas, a custom bar, and thoughtfully designed spaces to relax after a day exploring Staunton and the Shenandoah Valley.

The Beverley Loft is also available for select private events, celebrations, corporate retreats, and special occasions. Event bookings require prior approval and an additional event fee. Please inquire for availability and details.

Perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Staunton, guests are just steps from award-winning restaurants, boutique shopping, theaters, coffee shops, art galleries, live music, and the unmistakable charm of one of Virginia's most beloved historic destinations. Whether you're visiting for a weekend getaway, a special celebration, a university event, or simply to experience the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley, The Beverley Loft offers a truly distinctive luxury stay.

Guests enjoy exclusive access to the entire loft with convenient self check-in using a secure keyless entry system.

One dedicated parking space is included in the private lot behind the building. Additional public parking is available just a short walk away. Access to the loft requires climbing stairs, as the building does not have an elevator.

The Beverley Loft is located in the heart of downtown Staunton. Weekend evenings, festivals, and special events may bring increased activity, adding to the vibrant downtown atmosphere. Occasional street closures or minor traffic adjustments may also occur during these events.
