Just a few minutes’ walk from our holiday rental, one parking space per apartment is available for your free use. You can load and unload your luggage right in front of the door. Additionally, Wi-Fi is included in the apartment rate; you’ll receive the login details upon arrival if you request them.

The holiday apartments are modernly furnished, and a subtle colour scheme creates a pleasant, cosy atmosphere during your stay with us. The interior of the apartments has been selected with great attention to detail and leaves nothing to be desired. The furniture is comfortable and color-coordinated. The apartments on the first and second floors feature a spacious, natural-light-filled bathroom with a bathtub and an additional bathroom with a toilet and a walk-in shower. Tasteful fixtures, clean lines, and an earth-tone colour scheme in the bathrooms invite you to linger and relax. The attic apartment features a bathroom with natural light, which is also equipped with a walk-in shower and toilet and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere with its soothing colour palette. The kitchens in all holiday apartments are equipped to a high standard and offer plenty of space for cooking and dining together. Let yourself be inspired by regional dishes or prepare your own favourite meals.

From our historic half-timbered house, our guests can see and experience the Harz Mountains at their best. When looking out the bedroom windows, you can see the Kohlmarkt and the activity surrounding the Löwenbräu restaurant, which serves regional dishes. This gives visitors a first impression of Wernigerode’s beautiful old town and warmly invites them to explore it. Additionally, the window front facing the inner courtyard—where the bathrooms and kitchens of the guest apartments are located—offers a wonderful view of Wernigerode Castle (except from the Rathaus holiday apartment). You’ll experience a particularly impressive panorama during summer evenings, when the castle is bathed in warm sunlight and emerges from the treetops of the coniferous forest. Even in the snowy season, Wernigerode Castle reveals its winter charm and entices visitors out of their cosy accommodation.

THE CHRISTMAS MARKET…

At the end of November each year, the gates of the Wernigerode Christmas Market open—one of the most popular markets in the Harz region. The historic half-timbered houses blend picturesquely into the wintry landscape and create a cosy atmosphere. String lights, the pleasant scent of pine needles, and fresh fir branches accompany visitors through the old town, which is bathed in a warm, inviting glow. With a glass of mulled wine or roasted almonds in hand, you can explore the shopping streets or delight your palate with other regional winter delicacies.
