About this property
Handcrafted Woodland Cabin w/ Sauna & Mtn Views
Handcrafted woodland cabin designed for slowing down and unplugging. Set among trees with sweeping mountain views stretching toward the White Mountains and Camel’s Hump, this one of a kind retreat is full of rustic character, featuring a wood fired sauna and a simple off grid feel. Ideal for couples or solo guests seeking quiet, nature, and a more grounded, intentional stay.
The space The cabin is located on a larger rural property. The main house is visible down the hill, and there is another cabin located further away on the land. The setting still feels quiet and private, with space to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
There are friendly dogs on the property that may come by to say hello, so guests should be comfortable around dogs.
Guest access Guests will have full access to the cabin, including the surrounding outdoor space, stone patio, outdoor dining area, patio furniture, and fire pit area.
The wood fired sauna is also available for guest use during your stay.
Guests are welcome to explore the surrounding land, enjoy the pond area, hike around the property, and visit the horses during their stay. There are a couple marked hiking trails on the property, along with plenty of open forest and outdoor space to wander and explore.
The cabin is located on a larger property. Guests will drive past the main house to reach the cabin, but your stay area is separate and set up for privacy.
Please note that while the cabin feels private, it is not completely remote, and there are other structures on the property.
Other things to note We recommend arriving during daylight hours if possible, as the driveway and approach to the cabin can be easier to navigate when visible.
This is a rustic, off grid style stay. The cabin is simple by design, with minimal solar power, small solar lights throughout the cabin, and a more back to basics setup than a modern rental. Wifi is not available inside the cabin itself, though guests may be able to access the main house network nearby if needed.
Because the cabin is a rustic woodland structure surrounded by nature, guests may occasionally hear normal country and forest sounds at night, especially around the sauna and exterior portions of the cabin.
The indoor shower uses a suspended milk can system that is filled manually and lowered using a pulley, creating a simple and unique bathing experience. There is also an outdoor shower available.
There are friendly dogs on the property that may come by to say hello, so guests should be comfortable around dogs. Guest pets are not permitted at this time.
If you’re looking for a quiet, simple, and nature focused retreat, this space is a great fit.
