Photo gallery for Walk to Town · Fire Pit · Sleeps 12 | NRG

The lights come on around the time everyone gets back from the gorge. Out back: a propane grill, a fire pit dining table, and a sectional that nobody wants to get up from. It's a good rhythm.
Somebody always lands on this sofa first. By the time everyone's back from the gorge, the living room is where the day gets recapped and the night slows down.
This is the kitchen that ends up deciding someone's making breakfast for the whole crew, with a stainless range, open shelves, and counter enough for two cooks who aren't colliding.
Four queen beds, no pullout in the house. The kids claim it first, the adults pretend they don't want it, and everyone sleeps. It's the room that makes the trip.
Eight at the table, four more in the breakfast nook, and the dinner that was supposed to wrap by nine. Nobody's in a rush to clear the plates. Usually, a good sign.

About this property

Walk to Town · Fire Pit · Sleeps 12 | NRG

Maple & Main is where the annual group trip finally happens — the one everyone's been talking about planning for two years.

A walkable Fayetteville neighborhood. Four minutes from New River Gorge. You'll spend your days hiking, rafting, and climbing. Then walk home through quiet streets, light the fire pit, and realize nobody wants the night to end.

This is what the annual trip was always supposed to feel like.

The Space

The living room is the heart of the house — an oversized sectional faces a gas fireplace flanked by a rich green accent wall, with cognac leather chairs and warm lighting that makes the whole space feel like it was designed for exactly this kind of trip. This is where the post-hike debrief happens, movie nights stretch late, and someone is always still awake when the others turn in. The 58" Smart TV is loaded with streaming apps (access with your own logins) and ready to host whatever your group can't agree on.

The kitchen was genuinely built for groups that cook together.

- Stainless steel appliances and solid surface countertops
- Sharp knives, a full set of pots and pans
- Drip coffee maker, Keurig, and French press
- Dining table seats 8; breakfast nook seats 4 more

Mornings here start slower — coffee at the breakfast nook, sunlight coming through the windows, and someone already planning the day.

Out back: a half-acre that surprises people. Light the fire pit. Grill dinner on the deck. Pour another drink. Play cornhole in the yard while someone puts on music inside.
The best part of the trip usually happens after everyone gets back to the house.

REAL BEDS FOR EVERYONE
Sleeping arrangements matter more on group trips than people expect. That's why everyone gets a real bed.

Primary Bedroom

- King bed
- Smart TV
- Boutique-style feel with layered bedding and soft lighting

Second Bedroom

- Queen bed
- Comfortable and private, designed for a couple or two travelers
- Ensuite bathroom

Base Camp Bunk Room

- Two queen-over-queen bunk beds sleeping 8
- Warm lighting, adventure-themed art
- A layout that makes adults feel just as at home as kids — it's always the room people want

No pullout couches. No air mattresses. No awkward sleeping setup.

CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN FAYETTEVILLE

One of the best parts of staying at Maple & Main is being close enough to enjoy downtown without constantly moving cars around.

- Pies & Pints — about a 0.4-mile walk
- Cathedral Café — about 0.6 miles
- Rangefinder Coffee — around 0.6 miles
- Local breweries, shops, and boutiques all within easy walking distance

No designated drivers. No coordinating cars. No splitting the group up at the end of the night.

After a full day in the gorge, those kinds of easy matters matter more than people expect.

NEAR NEW RIVER GORGE ADVENTURES

- New River Gorge Bridge & Canyon Rim Visitor Center — 4 min drive (2.5 miles)
- Arrowhead Bike Farm — 6 min drive (2.7 miles)
- Long Point Trail — 7 min drive (2.9 miles)
- Adventures on the Gorge — 8 min drive (4.6 miles)
- Endless Wall Trail — 8 min drive (5.0 miles)
- ACE Adventure Resort — 16 min drive (9.3 miles)
- Summersville Lake — 22 min drive (20.6 miles)

Whether your group wants to raft, hike, climb, mountain bike, or simply land somewhere worth the trip — you're in the right place.

- Groups who want to stay close to downtown without sacrificing space
