About this property

Breathtaking Mountain Views Close to Raft Resorts, Secluded + Private Hot Tub

Welcome to the newest National Park: New River Gorge National Park and Preserve.

Our cabin offers a great place to gather with family and friends away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Enjoy barbecues in the yard, rejuvenate in the hot tub or simply unwind in the peaceful outdoors. Please read full description for cabin details.

During our off-season, we are happy to offer a Couples' Special. Please call for details.

Our Chalet is designed to accommodate four people comfortably with beds and sleeping arrangements for up to six guests. Upon entering the Chalet, just opposite the laundry room and bathroom, you'll find the first bedroom containing a queen-sized bed. A King bed is located upstairs in the Master/Loft. In our opinion, the loft is where you can find the best mountain views peering through the ceiling-to-floor windows. The loft also houses a large armoire and a full-sized, solid-wooden futon bed. Below the loft is the living area where you'll find an identical solid-wooden, full-sized futon bed. From here, watch a movie on DirecTV, Blu-ray/DVD, or just kick back and relax with your special someone in front of a romantic fireplace.
The kitchen is fully stocked with a 14-piece stainless steel Cuisinart skillet & pots/pans set for indoor use. Here you'll also find a microwave, blender, toaster, full spice rack, drip coffee pot (with coffee & sugar/creamer packets) to name a few extra amenities. We also provide all of the necessities for outdoor cooking like the propane on the large grill near the firepit and grill utensils.

And, of course, don't forget the Hot Tub on the wrap-around deck: the perfect relaxation amenity!

Sleepy Hollow Chalet’s Brandywine Cabin offers extraordinary vistas of the natural beauties of West Virginia. For more details and photos please visit our website.

Check us out, and discover for yourself the many wondrous charms this ambiance provides.

Internet: Satellite WiFi internet is available. With our secluded location, we are limited to one satellite internet provider. HughesNet provides reasonable service but is not what you may be used to in your city/town. Please plan to pack a hotspot if strong, stable internet connection is a must for your getaway.

Pet Policy: We strive very hard to provide a beautiful home where everyone can breathe easily. In lieu of the numerous inquiries regarding allergen-free homes, we regret that we cannot allow your pets to stay with you at the Chalet.

Terrain: We strongly recommend AWD or 4WD during winter months. With heavy/deep snow or ice, AWD or 4WD will be necessary to access the cabin.

Water: Our secluded location necessitates that our water come straight from Mother Nature. We do have a state-of-the-art water purification system in the basement that purifies the water and makes it potable (i.e. for safe drinking, etc). Regardless, USGS.gov reminds us that, "Natural water will never be totally clear, but will have some amount of color." Please do not be alarmed if the water has a slight tint from time to time. It is perfectly safe for drinking and everyday use.

Cabin Getaway
My husband and I took a few days to get away, hike and relax. This location fit the bill perfectly. Loved the remote location, hot tub, and fireplace. We were close to hiking and beautiful scenic drives. Communication with the host was outstanding from the time I made our reservation until checkout. Hope to return again.

Stars Couldn't Have Been Brighter
My wife and I stayed here during a hiking trip and it was perfect weekend getaway! The nights were amazing. Being in the rolling hills of West Virginia, away from the city lights and suburbia, the stars looked like they were right on top of you. The hot tub was a nice amenity too, especially after a long day of hiking. All other accommodations fit what we were looking for. We would definitely stay here again!

Family Fun
Great views - loved Hot Tub - lots of stars at night. Saw deer and cougar (mountain lion) in drive wave early in the morning. Kitchen stocked nicely only wish there was 1 nonstick pan for eggs. We survived with scrambled. Could not get Dish work but watched DVD's and played games which was good family time. Would recommend and we will likely come back again.

About the host

Host profile image
We love all things outdoors. We spent many years rafting and guiding on the New and Gauley Rivers which offer some of the best whitewater in the world. We like to hike and fish. Our truest sport-love is skiing. We have skied many resorts in many states and look forward to playing on many more mountains. We like to garden and play with our farm animals. We raise goats, cows, and chickens. We share our life and home with little humans and not-so-little dogs.

What makes this property unique

Secluded location yet only 4 miles from all of the amenities of town. The privacy of our cabin comes from our long driveway lined with trees and woodlands.
