Beautiful 3-bedroom House in South Brooksville Perfect for Relaxing Stays

The Captain Black House: A Coastal Haven in South Brooksville

Step into a classic Maine setting at the Captain Black House. Nestled in the village of South Brooksville, an area famously memorialized by children's author Robert McCloskey, and sitting between the Bucks Harbor Marina and Yacht Club, this classic Maine home overlooks the protected waters of Bucks Harbor at the head of Eggemoggin Reach. Whether sipping morning coffee as the harbor awakens or marveling at the colors of the sunset as it paints the water, the location offers an opportunity to experience a slower pace of life while marveling at the awe-inspiring view from the covered front porch and deck.

Life on the Water: The harbor is your playground here. Spend warm days swimming off the dock, meandering through the harbor in a rented kayak, or simply relaxing to the rhythmic sound of water lapping against the boats moored in the harbor.

Convenience: Guests enjoy a short stroll to the local market for supplies and pizza pickup, and to the popular Buck's restaurant for dinner. Just down the road is a 'must-visit' spot, Tinder Hearth, for bread, pizza and cafe goodies. A grocery store is about 15 minutes away in Blue Hill at the head of the peninsula.

The Home & Accommodations: Take in the idyllic view from the front deck or step out on the back deck and small fenced lawn. Inside, the Captain Black House offers all the comforts of home, including three Smart TVs located in the living room and two of the bedrooms, and board games for family fun.

Comfortable Sleeping: The home hosts up to six guests, with a king bedroom on the main floor and two queen bedrooms on the second floor.
Ease of Living: Designed for accessibility, the main floor offers a full bath with a walk-in tub and shower, along with laundry facilities. An additional full bath with a shower is located on the second floor.

Gathering Spaces: A well-appointed kitchen allows for memorable family meals to be prepared. There is a gas grill close by on the front deck.
