The studio was formerly used as an exhibition space by the local stained-glass company. Here, designs were sketched out in collaboration with renowned artists, which were later incorporated into church windows. Later, the studio was also used as living quarters for artists.
The “Old Studio” is a large, open space. The lower level features the living area with a sitting area, dining area, and bed. The sofa can be converted into an additional sleeping area for up to 2 people. The bathroom, with a shower and toilet, is a separate area within the room. There is also a storage closet here with a washing machine and refrigerator. A staircase leads up to the studio’s loft. Here, you can relax in a seating area, enjoy a cup of tea, and soak up the atmosphere of this extraordinary space. The large windows flood the room with light. On cold days, you’re welcome to use the Bullerjan stove. Sufficient firewood is provided. A travel cot and a high chair are also available.
The studio is located behind Weimar’s main train station, right next to the tracks. Please note that, due to its location, train noise unfortunately cannot be avoided.
The studio is centrally located. It’s a 6-minute walk to the train station and about a 20-minute walk to the centre of Weimar. You can reach the Atrium, with its many shopping options, in about 10 minutes on foot. Supermarkets and bakeries are located in the immediate vicinity.
