The holiday apartment was newly renovated and furnished in 2021 and 2022. It’s located in the Geyersberg-Freyung Holiday Park and offers a beautiful view and free Wi-Fi. It’s about 38 km from Passau Cathedral and the train station. Upon arrival, you’ll receive the aktivCARD Bayerischer Wald! With the aktivCARD, you’ll enjoy free admission to over 130 attractions. These attractions include outdoor and indoor swimming pools, ski passes, ski and snowboard rentals, museums, e-bike rentals, amusement parks, toboggan runs, a zoo, guided hikes, and much more. The apartment features a south-facing covered balcony, a living room/bedroom with a fold-out bed (1.60 × 2.00 m), a fully equipped kitchenette with a dishwasher, 2 ceramic cooktops, an oven, a refrigerator with an integrated freezer compartment, a kettle, a toaster, a pod coffee maker, and 1 bathroom with a shower and toilet. Towels and bed linens are provided in the apartment. The indoor pool and sauna are easily accessible on foot from the apartment in Block K, about 220 m away. The Bavarian Forest and its surroundings, with their many hiking and biking trails, as well as skiing and tobogganing areas, are quick, easy, and convenient to reach from the holiday apartment. The holiday park offers free parking as well as paid public parking in the car park. EV charging stations are available in the car park. This cosy holiday apartment with a magnificent view of Geyersberg in Freyung is located in Block M on the 4th floor of the holiday park and is easily accessible by lift. The Geyersberg Holiday Park is a resort located above the town of Freyung, offering a breathtaking view of the low-mountain landscape of the Bavarian Forest. The city centre of Freyung is approximately 1.5 km from the holiday apartment. In the immediate vicinity, the extensive network of hiking trails in the health resort of Freyung invites you to explore the area on foot and experience the beautiful natural surroundings. Highlights also include the treetop trail in the national park—open in winter—with its outdoor animal enclosure, as well as the Buchberger Leite torrent gorge. Destinations in neighbouring Austria and the Czech Republic are quick and easy to reach, as are the cities of Passau, Regensburg, and Straubing. For Western enthusiasts—but also for all other holidaymakers—we recommend taking a day trip to the Western town of Pullman City, where fantastic Christmas markets take place during the holiday season and, in the summer months, the Karl-May Festival is performed on the open-air stage, featuring horses and riders. This can also be combined with a day of swimming at the beautiful Eging am See natural swimming area, about 42 km away. At Geyersberg Holiday Park, you’ll find: an indoor pool, a sauna, a recreation area with billiards, foosball, darts, arcade games, drink and coffee vending machines (for a fee), a wellness centre with a massage practice, shuttle bus to the city centre, hiking trails starting right from the resort, a mountain glassworks with a demonstration furnace about 250 m away, and a ski lift about 350 m away. Right next door is a large adventure playground with a climbing park, activity park, etc. Ski and tobogganing areas are in the immediate vicinity (Solla: 3 min.), Mitterdorf (20 min.), and the Mauth-Finsterau cross-country skiing centre (18 min.). The Solla artificial ice rink is 3 minutes away. The indoor pool and sauna are easily accessible on foot from the apartment in Block K, about 220 m away. Use of these facilities is free of charge. Right next door is a recreational area with a pool table and foosball. Check-in is available between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM; check-out is from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Please call this number at least 60 minutes before your scheduled arrival time to provide your estimated arrival time. Keys will be handed over in person on site. The city of Freyung charges a visitor’s tax of 3.00 euros per night for guests aged 16 and older, and 1.50 euros per night for children aged 6 through 15; Children under 6 years of age are exempt from the tourist tax. The holiday rental is a non-smoking property; pets are not allowed, and neither extra beds nor cots are available.
