About this property

1940s Old Town Beach Cabana Steps from Alister | Sleeps 2

Anglers Court #15 is one of the original 1940s fishing bungalows in central Old Town Port Aransas, tucked into the same grassy courtyard that has defined this block since the early days of the island. The bungalow sleeps two, has a private entrance, and sits inside a compound shared with Saltwater Gypsy's boutique, Aloha Acai, and a pet shop. Castaways Seafood and Grill is about 100 steps away. This is where honeymooners stayed back when Port Aransas was still mostly fishermen and shrimpers, and the character from that era is still intact.

THE LAYOUT
Single-room bungalow: queen bed, kitchenette, full bathroom, and a private entrance off the shared courtyard. Clean and compact, exactly right-sized for two people. Room-darkening shades keep mornings as dark as you want them.

THE KITCHEN
Kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, and Keurig coffee maker stocked with complimentary coffee. Dishes and wine glasses included. Note: there is no stove. The Alister Street dining strip steps away covers breakfast through last call.

THE BEDROOMS
One bedroom with a queen bed. Sleeps two. Bed linens, extra pillows, and room-darkening shades provided.

OUTDOOR
The shared patio has outdoor seating and a gas BBQ grill stocked with utensils, shared among Angler's Court guests. An outdoor shower is available for rinsing off after the beach. The courtyard sits under a canopy of palms typical of Old Town's original cottage character.

BEACH / LOCATION
Anglers Court sits in central Old Town, about 3/4 mile from the beach at Horace Caldwell Pier. Golf carts are available through PAVC on the website and make the trip to the water easy. Shorty's Place has been here since 1946. KC's Oyster Shack puts out its sign-up sheet at 3pm and fills fast, so add your name early.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
Bed linens, towels, Keurig station with complimentary coffee, shared courtyard grill, outdoor shower, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. One designated parking spot.

THE LOCAL TEAM
Angler's Court is proudly managed by Port A Vacation Co with guest services available 24/7

LOGISTICS

Wonderful Cottage!

Really good location in the middle of Port A. Cottage is cute, clean, and safe. The property management is beyond excellent and can not do enough for you. They were available, responsive, and had the lights on for me when I arrived! Loved that!!!!

House was minimalist

no TV or radio. House is much smaller than a standard hotel room. Airplane bathroom. Only 2 small rolls of TP for 2 people for a 5 day stay. We bought more TP on day 2. Room has microwave and minifridge so we had no choice but to dine out for everything, Minimum 2 hour wait for dining after 4pm. Port A looks like Matagorda but with far too many golf carts on the beaches and roads. Very little pedestrian movement. Most everyone is driving buggies everywhere. Excessive Culture. Food was good thou expenssive!!
