The Baltic Sea is right at your feet here—just 130 metres away, you’ll reach the fine-sand, kilometer-long South Beach. Numerous excursion options await you in the surrounding area: the Prora Documentation Centre, the Prora Centre, the Rügen Classic Car Museum, the Rügen NVA Museum, the Galileo World of Knowledge on Rügen, the Binz-Prora Climbing Forest, and the Rügen Nature Heritage Centre with its treetop trail, as well as the popular Karls Adventure Village in Zirkow. Within walking distance, you’ll find two bakeries, several bistros, a restaurant, small fashion and souvenir shops, and a bike rental shop.
