🍔 Local Spots Worth Knowing

- **Shooting Star Saloon** (Huntsville) — Utah's oldest continuously operating bar, established in 1879. Order the Star Burger, soak in the history, and don't overthink it. It's a must.
- **New World Distillery** (Eden) — Already mentioned it but worth saying twice. Great spirits, great people, great story.
- **First Lift Coffee** (Huntsville) for a great cup and some breakfast bites.
**HALO Observatory** — If you really want to do something memorable, book a session at the Huntsville Astronomic and Lunar Observatory — right on the Compass Rose Lodge property. They have a 16-inch telescope and host nightly Starwalk Tours open to the public after sunset. Call ahead to reserve your spot. And if you want to make a full evening of it, rent one of their **private Tipis** — they seat 5-6 people, have heating and seating, and you can bring your own food in while the hotel handles all the setup and cleanup. It's one of those experiences you'll talk about for years.
- **Downtown Ogden** — About 30–40 minutes down the canyon, Ogden's downtown has a great food and craft beer scene. Check out Roosters, Slackwater, or UTOG Brewing for local brews and solid food.
