Master bedroom offers one king bed and one childrens bed (185x80 cm). Second bedroom has one queen bed and one double sofa bed. Third bedroom holds one single bed. Well-equipped kitchen, living room and dining area.

Local grocery store, bakery and bus stop within strolling distance. Five minutes drive to local beach, more cafes and several hiking trails. The location is excellent for day trips to Briksdalsbreen glacier, Loen Skylift, Geiranger or Strynefjell Summer Skiing.

I live in Oslo with my family, but we spend a lot of time in this house and absolutely love the area.

Why they chose this property

I grew up on a neighbouring farm and had been looking for a property in the area for a few years when an aunt decided to sell this house. My city-bred children love being able to hike right outside the door, playing with goats and just interacting with the tiny village community.

What makes this property unique

The house was built between 1928 and 1930 by a young man who'd been logging timber in Duluth, Minnesota for a few years to save up money. His daughter went on to marry my great uncle Norvald, thus the house holds a lot of history to our family.

All the people living there have been frugal goat farmers. My great uncle loved fishing and hunting and spent his time in nature. The house meant a lot to him and his wife and we try to take care of it as they would have.
