Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location is absolutely beautiful, with spectacular mountain views and incredible wildlife. During our visit we saw elk, turkeys, geese, and quail. The cabin is about 10 minutes from Crouch and 45 minutes from Silver Creek Hot Springs, making it a great base for exploring the area. The cabin itself was exactly as expected: small, cozy, and comfortable for my wife, three kids, and me. Once we got the heat working, it warmed up quickly. The hot tub is shared with another cabin, it was clean, hot, and very relaxing. That said, several issues made check-in difficult. We arrived after dark and had a hard time finding the cabin. Exterior lights were available but were not on. There was no welcome packet, so we weren't sure we were in the correct cabin, didn't have the WiFi password, and had no instructions for the TV or heating system. Cell service was minimal, and it took hours to reach the owner. The WiFi password we were given never worked in our cabin, and there was apparently no one available locally to help. Since WiFi is listed as an amenity, guests expect it to function. The coffee maker was very slow and left grounds in the pot. Most concerning, we could not find any smoke detectors. We enjoyed our trip and would consider staying again. With a welcome packet, working WiFi, smoke detectors, better arrival instructions, and the cabin ready for guests upon arrival, this could easily be a fantastic stay. The location alone is worth it.
