Gregg and Mary Avery are the owners of North Fork Ranch and share a passion for family, history, agriculture, and the outdoors.
Mary was raised in Los Angeles, and Gregg grew up in Thousand Oaks. Together they built their life in Thousand Oaks, where they raised their family.
Gregg dedicated his career to serving the community as a firefighter with the Los Angeles City Fire Department before retiring after years of public service. Mary raised their children while building a career in real estate, later founded Cerise, her own bath and body company, and further pursued her passion for food by completing the Culinary Arts program at Oxnard College, where she developed professional culinary and hospitality skills.

Drawn to the property’s unique character and more than 100 years of homestead history, Gregg and Mary chose North Fork Ranch as a place to preserve a remarkable piece of California’s heritage. They embraced the homesteading lifestyle, raising livestock, growing food, and caring for the land while creating a destination where others can experience the beauty and tranquility of mountain ranch life.
