Urfeld 26 - Mountain home with exceptional views and a sauna!

The expansive forest landscape in Urfeld on Walchensee serves as the backdrop for the 1960s holiday home, which was redesigned by Arnold / Werner. The central idea is to make use of existing and local resources. Consequently, the gently curved building envelope and the built-in furniture were crafted exclusively from silver fir sourced from nearby Jachenau. Key to the cosy atmosphere of the space are the focus on just a few natural materials, the understated colour palette, and the subtle design details. Thanks to the roof-integrated photovoltaic panels and the fireplace, the house can be used wonderfully self-sufficiently—in both summer and winter.
