Turn off the heat and lights and close all windows.
Lock the door.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Do not continuously leaving the door and windows open results in rust on anything metal.
A safety gate is provided on the deck; please use it to secure the area for toddlers.

My husband is a General Contractor. I'm a retired teacher. I went to Florida for spring break while I was in college. I immediately fell in love with the ocean. I only interviewed with California schools for my first job so I could be close to the ocean. I ended up on Silver Strand Beach in Oxnard, CA, a block away from Sonny & Cher's beach house. I met my future husband at the Rudder Room at the end of the block. After we were married, there was a building moratorium on beach property, so we moved to Sacramento so he could work. This is why we bought this condo and stay here for several months every year.

Why they chose this property

We absolutely fell in love with Del Monte Beach because it offers a rare, tranquil coastal experience while still being incredibly close to everything Monterey has to offer. We rented in this complex three times before we bought our unit. Unlike busier tourist hubs, this neighborhood feels like a hidden sanctuary where you can walk right out onto the sand, watch the dolphins and sea otters play, and enjoy spectacular, uninterrupted sunsets over the bay. It’s a peaceful beach retreat, yet you’re just a few minutes away from the historic Cannery Row, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and world-class dining.

What completely sets our condo apart is its true oceanfront location. You aren't just looking at the water from a distance—you are steps from the sand, listening to the crashing waves right from the property. Because my husband is a General Contractor, we have taken personal care to ensure the interior is beautifully remodeled, comfortable, and perfectly equipped for a relaxing stay. It truly serves as our personal coastal sanctuary for a few months out of each year, and we’ve designed it to feel like a warm, welcoming home away from home for our guests.
