This cottage is the ideal vacation spot for long or short hikes and fishing trips in the beautiful Norwegian mountains! The combination of darker wooden furniture, an inviting color scheme and lots of cushions and furs make the cabin a warm, cozy place to feel at home. The dining table invites you to enjoy a fun afternoon or evening of games and treats. Snuggle up in the cushions on the sofa in the evening and chat about your Gaustatoppen mountain tour tomorrow. You can prepare your evening meals in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy the sunset from the terrace. A dreamy mountain landscape with hiking trails and MTB routes await you on the doorstep. You can easily go fishing with the hotel's own rowing boat.

The hike to Gaustatoppen is one of the most popular in Norway, and the view from the top is phenomenal. You can also take the cable car inside the mountain to the summit if your legs can't take the hike. If you want to hike to the summit, Stavsro is the most popular starting point. There are several different hiking trails that all lead to the summit. So both families with children and experienced mountain hikers can find a route they enjoy. A second highlight for mountain hikers is the Hulderhola cave.

In winter, the cross-country ski slopes are just a few hundred meters away and a few kilometers away you can get on your skis or snowboard at Flugonfjell Skicenter and whizz down the slopes.
