Unfortunately, our stay at this VRBO was very disappointing. We traveled a long distance and had already spent over 700 on this reservation, so leaving wasn’t a realistic option.When we arrived, the house was dirty and required us to clean it ourselves before we could even settle in. During our stay, we found and killed over 10 cockroaches inside the home. We have photos documenting this, and they were clearly not just the occasional “summer bug” as they appeared throughout our stay.There were several other maintenance issues as well. One of the beds was completely unusable because the wooden frame had collapsed onto the floor, leaving the mattress slanted. The toilets would not flush properly, and the shower only stayed hot for about five minutes before turning cold. Outside, the home had spray paint on it, and there were miscellaneous items scattered around the property, making it appear poorly maintained.Overall, this property did not match the expectations set by the listing. Between the cleanliness issues, the cockroach problem, and the numerous maintenance concerns, our stay was far from enjoyable. We have photos documenting everything mentioned above. I hope these issues are addressed so future guests don’t have the same experience we did.
