Nice, light 3-room apartment with 2 separate bedrooms, 1 shower bath, separate WC and loggia. Renovated in 2010 on the 7th floor (elevator) with a view of the Sony centre and Potsdamer Platz. The entire living area is equipped with parquet, kitchen, bathroom and WC with tiles. The living room with cable (flat-screen) TV, Blu-Ray player, stereo, internet and telephone (both flat-rate) has a dining space for 6 people, a comfortable sofa bed and a book shelf with information about Berlin and thrilling literature for rainy days. In the south-facing loggia you will find a covered corner to sit. The kitchen is completely equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, stove with extraction, oven, fridge with separate freezer, coffee machine, water cooker and toaster. Dishes, utensils for 12 people and cooking utensils round off the comfort. You can leave your car in the garage, the new centre of Berlin, at the point between City-West and City-East is 1300m away.


Relaxation and sport: Despite the central location, there is a lot of green space nearby, for example, Am Karlsbad, the Mendelsohn-Bartholdy-Park and above all the zoo invite you to go walking, jogging and hiking. We recommend the paths along the Spree and by the Landwehrkanal, where you can enjoy views of the government district. Alternatively, you can also go on a cruise, which offers a lot of different tours.

Berlin Visit

In the city for eight days for social meeting. The underground train at the end of the street made for easy access to the city sights.The philharmonic was within walking distance as was the transportation museum (about 1.2km).

Central - but feels like a real neighbourhood

Ute's place stood out by being even better than advertised. It was perfect for two independent people (but the two bedrooms would also work for a small family). We like to cook and it had everything we needed. It's on the top floor, with an efficient lift/elevator, and the views are fantastic. We really liked the area: within walking distance of Potsdamerplatz and the U-Bahn but with a real local feel with lots of good shops and places to eat or have a coffee (including two cafés right outside).

Quiet oasis with easy access

This was a great apartment - especially sharing with our daughter. The two bedrooms were spacious and quiet. Access to the U-Bahn and bus made anything in the city so easy to find. On the top floor, so the elevator was appreciated (except the last day when it was out of order).

The location is good for public transport and getting to and from other points in the city, the nearby park is also lovely in the evenings. Local shops are good too. We had trouble finding good places to eat that didn't focus on fast/fried food. we realised on our first night that there is a lot of prostitution in the area, while there was no trouble it was a surprise. The cistern on the toilet was broken when we arrived and the owners came up with a temporary fix very quickly, but then insisted on having someone come to replace the unit during our stay, despite my saying three times that we didn't want that, and sending them to the apartment without warning. we were due to leave at 11 and the repairman arrived at 10 as we were trying to pack up and clean. A previous repairman had arrived at 10am on our second day without warning which was when we asked not to be disturbed in that way again.

No privacy

Owner insisted on coming over to do some things for future guests. I sd no, this is our honeymoon and we rented the property for 4 days and we need privacy. She sd that she will ring bell and then enter and would not say a time. We left the property immediately without staying and went to a hotel where our privacy was respected. She was rude and refused to refund our money. In 3 weeks of travel in Europe she was our only negative experience.

Good and central home

We booked this appartment for our city trip in Berlin. The communication with Ute after the booking was good and fast. Ute wrote us that she couldn't be there because of her holiday but the person who were handing the keys was waiting and showed us what we need to know. He was very nice. The opening towards the parking is not big (normal in a city) but our middle size car went through it. We could park our car in a closed parking behind the appartment. That parking was a little garage (we had expected a smaller place) and the garage had plenty of room. By arrival the man who gave us the keys saw that the cleaning hadn't arrived (the bed's weren't covered but there was only little a heap of bedlinnen). We discovered ourselves that the fridge contained food from previous people. We throw it away. The house itself was clean. The next morning (without a complain from us) we got a mail from Ute that there's was a miscommunication by the cleaning of our arrival and the cleaning would come that morning. Such a miscommunication could happen. That morning when we went into the city the cleaning has come and the beds where covered. So, the incovenience was solved very good and it didn't bother us. The house itself was clean, good and very central. The beds were good. The U-bahn was only 2 minutes of walking. Another station was 5 minutes away. From both you were in about 10 minutes in Mitte. There are enough restaurants around the appartment. We haven't cooked for dinner in the appartment. And you didn't hear anything from outside. The street is very quiet and you were in about 6 minutes on the A100. Overall we had a great time and we will certainly recommend the house to other people who want to visit Berlin.

Wohnung ist modern ausgestattet.Es gibt 2 Schlafzimmer.Im Wohnzimmer gibt es eine unbequme Schlafcouch, weil die Matratze sehr fest und leicht schräg in die Mitte kippt.Für Menschen mit Rückenproblemen keine Option. Im Wohnbereich hört man wenn es still ist ein durchgehendes Brummen, was evtl von der Lüftung auf dem Hausdach kommt. Man liegt durch die Umgebungsgeräusche deshalb dort nicht ruhig. Schlafcouch/Wohnbereich liegt zur Straßenseite.Die 2 Schlafzimmer sind ruhig und liegen nach hinten (Hof) raus und haben gute Matratzen.Küchenzeile hat alles was man braucht. Wer möchte kann einen Parkplatz für 10 Euro pro Nacht dazu buchen.Auf der Straße gibt es keine kostenlosen Parkplätze.In der Nähe befinden sich fußläufig mehrere Geschäfte für den täglichen Einkauf.Wohnung liegt in der 7.Etage. Vom Balkon oder Fenster eine schöne Aussicht.

Mooi centraal, prima appartement

Het was prettig om zo dichtbij het OV te verblijven. Enige minpuntje was dat er nog een paar trappen nodig waren om in het appartement te komen omdat de lift "tussen de verdieplingen" stopt. Maar verder prima locatie, alle spullen zijn aanwezig, grote slaapkamers, toilet en douche zijn wel wat aan de kleine kant.
