Why they chose this property

Old Floyd Farmhouse is tucked away in a peaceful country setting just outside of Rome, surrounded by open fields, mature trees, farmland, and the sounds of nature. It feels wonderfully secluded while still being close enough to town for restaurants, shopping, and local attractions.

One of our favorite things about the neighborhood is the slower pace. Mornings are quiet, evenings are perfect for sitting on the deck or gathering around the fire pit, and the creek running along the property adds to the peaceful atmosphere.

We're also in a great spot for exploring Upstate New York—from Delta Lake and local parks to day trips into the Adirondacks. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a little country quiet without feeling too far away from everything.

What makes this property unique

The property is located on a 400 acre farm with amazing wild life. We have seen bears, beavers, blue and green herons, muskrats, minks, bobcats amongst so many others! You can sit right on the back deck and never know what will pass by!
