David and I grew up on Oahu and moved to Washington State in 1996 to attend college. We currently live in Edmonds, WA and visit the Big Island as much as we can. We are both in design professions and love doing home improvement projects and working out in the garden. We are grateful that we can share our home with visitors to the island.

Why they chose this property

Hawaiian Paradise Park is a rural neighborhood just south of Hilo on the eastside of the Big Island. We love most things about this area. It's beautiful and green. The people are so nice...and it's not too crowded.

What makes this property unique

Our house reminds us of old Hawaii. A small, simple farm home with a big front yard. We want to make the inside as comfortable as possible, as homey as possible, while adding modern comforts. This is a second home for us, and it truly feels that way. Many of our guest have referred to it as 'a home away from home'. We put a lot of care into this property, and we really want visitors to feel that too.
