It was a lovely place to stay. I absolutely loved the enclosed dining area with surrounding windows. I loved the bathrooms, especially the tiles. I also loved the open field behind the house, the privacy and the quiet surroundings. The nights we spent around the outdoor fireplace were an absolute pleasure. Great place for a family vacation.

The Arlene was an amazing home. Squeaky clean, good beds, quiet and exactly as indicated. The restoration done on this home brought it back to life! It is a little slice of heaven. We will be back.

Simply one of the very best VRBOs I have ever stayed in!! Camano Island is a beautiful area of Washington and close to everything you would want to do ! The renovation of the “Arlene” is amazing , you can see the whole story in a photo book the owners have displayed in the home!!

Everything was wonderful and we had a lovely time! The only thing we didn’t expect is that the property’s treated well water smells slightly, if we had known we would have stocked up on bottled water to bring along. We will be back, the kids loved it! The big yard was great for exploring and playing soccer, and the inside of the home was impeccably clean and cozy.

This was a great little house and the pictures are totally accurate. The house was very large and had everything you could need. The bed was comfortable and included some down pillows that we absolutely loved. There isn’t any air conditioning which I thought might be a problem because my husband runs hot, but opening a window in the evening solved that problem! There wasn’t really anything I needed that I didn’t find in the house. We stayed 7 nights and coming back from exploring each evening was like coming back home. It’s so much nicer than staying in a hotel for sure! The location was on point for us because we traveled to Vancouver, the Whidbey Islands, Mt Baker, Mt Rainier, and Seattle. It’s very convenient if you want to go lots of places and you don’t necessarily want to get stuck in Seattle traffic. We hope to return one day for another stay!

My husband and I and our adult son stayed at the Arlene as a home base visiting family in Stanwood and exploring the local area. It is a lovely property in a quiet neighborhood. Clean and comfortable with decor that is not fussy and overwhelming. We were sorry not to be there enough to use the fire pit and all the kitchen gadgets. Will try to book it for future trips.

Wonderful home and folks! The owners are so kind, even surprised us with fresh crab they had caught.
