This meticulously renovated, historic 5-star farmhouse in Riederau on Lake Ammersee (built in 1770), with 260 square meters of living space, is a gem for guests with an eye for the extraordinary and is well known as the Stohrerhof. With its 10 rooms, 4 fireplaces, a 1,000-square-meter garden, its historic chapel, and many extras, you’ll want for nothing. A boat dock, a beach, and, of course, Lake Ammersee are all within a 10-minute walk from the farm. Three restaurants are located in the immediate vicinity in town. Hiking and biking trails start right at the front door.<br/><br/>The impressive, charming residence: <br/> The moment you stand in front of this stately Riederau farmstead and open the beautiful historic front door, you’re struck by the feeling that you’ve arrived at a special place. Here, you can immediately sense that modernity and the past have been carefully and convincingly blended together. <br/><br/>The spacious entryway (22 square meters) on the first floor, featuring direct and indirect lighting, central smoke detectors, and USM Haller shelving, provides direct access to all rooms. Next to the bright entryway (5 square meters) with a shoe-polishing machine, you can step right into the historic farmhouse parlor (28 square meters) with its beautiful masonry stove, a jukebox, games, and a large living room table (seating up to 12 people) made from the ancient floorboards of the room itself. All the furniture was lovingly crafted by outstanding woodworkers. The chairs were custom-made specifically for this room to the highest standards. In this house, we left nothing to chance. We placed particular emphasis on the historic restoration of this room, with its old wooden ceiling and the original farmhouse door from the 18th century. <br/><br/>Adjacent to the parlor is the modern and fully equipped custom-built kitchen (20 square meters), featuring high-quality kitchen appliances. In addition to the dishwasher, oven, ceramic cooktop, microwave, and fridge-freezer combo, you’ll of course find a fully automatic coffee machine for coffee and espresso beans, a raclette grill for 12 people, a toaster, a waffle maker, an electric citrus juicer, and a kettle. There is an ample supply of dishes, glasses, and silverware for up to 12 people.<br/><br/> Next to the kitchen is the lounge (21 sqm), which features an exclusive sleeper sofa (1.90 x 2.00) that can serve as a sleeping area for two guests. This room also has a fireplace. Unwind in this cozy space and enjoy the most pleasant hours of the day. Various lighting scenes are pre-programmed and can be activated directly via the switches. And if you prefer a truly cozy atmosphere, simply use the base lighting—which, by the way, can also be used optionally throughout the entire house.<br/><br/> From the spacious hallway, you can also access one of our bedrooms (30 square meters) with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00) and a single bed (0.90 x 2.00), featuring direct access to the large 1,000-square-meter garden. Adjacent to this is the tastefully designed bathroom (8 sqm) with underfloor heating and a towel warmer, tiled with the highest-quality Canadian green slate. In addition to the shower with Dornbracht fixtures, the exclusive onyx sink is particularly impressive. High-quality towels are, of course, provided for every guest.<br/>The former storeroom (13 square meters) of the estate is our third cozy bedroom, featuring a comfortable double bed (1.60 x 2.00). It also adjoins the tastefully decorated bathroom (8 sqm) with underfloor heating and a towel warmer, which is tiled with the highest-quality Canadian green slate.<br/><br/> On the first floor, you can also use the washer and dryer in case you run out of the vacation clothes you brought along. A vacuum cleaner is also available for your use.<br/><br/> The historic wooden staircase leads directly to the stately upper floor with four additional rooms. The light-filled hallway provides direct access to the beautiful and bright bedroom/living room (28 square meters) with two high-quality Lambert Lobby armchairs, an exclusive sofa bed by Franz Fertig (1.80 x 2.00), and timeless USM Haller shelving.
