"Waterkant" Vacation Rental on Lake Wittensee—with a garden, terrace, and play barn

Our "Waterkant" vacation rental is located just about 100 meters from the swimming beach on Lake Wittensee. Spanning a spacious 75 square meters, this bright, welcoming apartment in idyllic Bünsdorf, Schleswig-Holstein, offers a well-deserved getaway for up to five people. The apartment is located on the first floor of a vacation home on our farmstead right on the lake and is furnished in a Scandinavian-inspired style—clean, cozy, and with great attention to detail.

The large living room invites you to relax and unwind: There’s plenty of space here for reading, playing games, chatting, and watching TV. In an area separated by a curtain, there’s a comfortable daybed that can be used as a sleeping space for a fifth person—ideal for a child, a teenager, or a traveling companion.

From the living room, you have direct access to the large, covered patio and the vacation rental’s private garden, which is available exclusively to you as guests of the “Waterkant.” With patio furniture and lounge chairs, this area quickly becomes a second outdoor living room: breakfast in the morning sun, a good book in a lounge chair, or a glass of wine in the evening—anything is possible.

A spacious master bedroom with a double bed and a separate children’s room with a bunk bed ensure restful nights. Both bedrooms are equipped with blackout pleated blinds, so that even early risers and late sleepers can get a good night’s rest. The decor features thoughtful details and a warm, Nordic atmosphere.

The kitchen was recently renovated and combines warm tones with a modern built-in kitchen. It is fully equipped and perfect for cooking together—it has everything a home cook could want. A nearly new shower room with natural light rounds out the apartment’s comfort.

On warm, sunny days, you’ll enjoy the apartment’s close proximity to Wittensee and its beautiful beach—perfect for swimming, splashing around, stand-up paddleboarding, or simply taking a refreshing dip whenever you feel like it. And when the weather turns typically Nordic, the vacation fun simply continues indoors: On the grounds, our play barn features an indoor play area for young and old alike. A trampoline, foosball table, climbing wall, and much more ensure that everyone can really let off steam, even when it rains.
