The tranquil village of Rysum is home to many historic buildings, such as the Rysum Mill, Gulfhöfe, and farm workers’ houses. The oldest playable organ in Northern Europe, preserved in its original form, can be viewed in the Rysum Church. Culturally, the small village also has plenty to offer. On the last weekend of the month, concerts from the “Weltklassik am Klavier” series take place there.
Rysum is also an excellent starting point for bike tours and relaxing walks in nature. The dike and the coast are within walking distance.
Fresh rolls can be purchased daily at the local bakery across the street.
A visitor’s tax is charged in the Krummhörn holiday region. This is payable separately upon arrival.
