Long time VRBO'r. Less than satisfying experience. The property contact on arrival insisted on meeting us away from the property. When we finally arrived at the property it was stifling hot, and the insufficient portable A/C which would not fully cool a single room after 2 days in a heat wave. We left after the 1st night, stayed in a hotel on the 2nd night, and left a day earlier than planned. Initially planned as a 3 day stay. We felt that the contact meeting us offsite was to avoid being present when we discovered how hot it was and how insufficient the portable A/C unit was. The property details also did not mention the apartment was on the 4th story of a walk up, with no lift. Not an issue for us, but should be mentioned in the property details as others may have physical limitations. Last, we dropped the keys with a different person in a different location.On a positive note, the property was clean and in a good location. At another time of year or without a heat wave, the apartment may have been sufficient.The arrival experience, the expectations set by the VRBO property details vs. reality, and the exit experience, are the main contributing factors in the score.
