There are 2 air conditioners in the condo, living room and bedroom, and also 2 fans in the living room and another in the bedroom. The A/C is maintained regularly. I'm not sure why this guest had an issue. The condo has an electric cook top, a microwave, and no oven -- very typical in this building. A kettle -- probably not a cause for complaint -- I'm sure I do not have every single utensil or appliance that a kitchen can have.

Hi, Judith: I'm sorry you had issues with the sheets and the pots and pans. I wish you would have told me when you arrived and I would have rectified the situations. I have notified property managers of the sheet situations and ordered brand new pots and pans. Thank you for staying there. I hope you can return some time.

Thank you, Priscilla. To future guests: you do not have to leave a credit card at the front desk. You can, if you choose to, to purchase food and drinks and pay at the end if you want. (the front desk is not connected with my unit and is not authorized to charge you any damage retainer or anything else.) Unfortunately Priscilla was charged erroneously -- and I thank her for her patience as we both work to getting it rectified!!

This traveler would have preferred all inclusive. Fishermen's is for independent travelers who want a more secluded smaller boutique experience.

I have never had a problem with a guest before Philip. My texts were never angry or aggressive. The front desk verified with me that they had registered 4 guests into my unit (which in fact they did do.) I communicated with the guest asking why there were 4 registered and they did not respond to me, except telling me to send someone over there at a time when they would be there in the unit to receive them. vrbo told me to send them an additional fee request for the other guests, so I did so. This fee was never paid by the guest and was removed by me. There is no vrbo person on site there, so I don't know what this guest is referring to here -- probably the manager for the resort. I provide check in instructions to everyone; this guest chose to ignore them and check in with the front desk, which does not have authority over my unit and took keys to the unit, while I have a digital code set up there. Sometimes guests just like to assume they know their way around a place and do what they please -- this guests jumps from unit to unit within our resort. I have a long string of communication with him through vrbo, as I am supposed to do. As far as dealing with me, please look at other reviews, and never will you see a negative critique. I have been renting this unit since 1997. I so dislike when this type of thing happens -- and I'm sincerely sorry for anything I may have done to upset this guest. I said I was stressed too, yes, after they wrote to me saying I was ruining their vacation and they were so stressed out. I try hard to do things correctly, and a situation like this is so rare, it was indeed upsetting. But I thank Philip for his review unaffected by our personal miscommunications or whatever we can call it.

Addressing "the unit could use a few upgrades". First I wonder about the guests' expertise in this area. The king bed is brand new bought in 2022. The kitchen is upgraded as well as the baths. The furniture in this unit is in old authentic Mexican -- not the modern furniture some units have. Just a choice. So if you want a very modern looking unit, this furniture will not suit you; the pictures are accurate.
