The Lodge at Stone Pile Gap

This lovely log home sits nestled in the forest, right before the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. With it's secluded location, you'll feel far away from it all and yet hiking, biking, fishing, tubing, waterfalls, and more are all less than one mile away. This home embraces it's mountain location, making it to where you never even have to to leave the property to thoroughly enjoy the mountains. Not only are you completely secluded with no other homes in sight, but the outdoors are equipped with your every need in mind. Tucked behind the cabin is a gorgeous man made waterfall, so you can enjoy the sounds of rushing water any time you want. On the front side of the cabin there is an expansive covered porch where you can rock your cares away in the wooden rocking chairs. There is a massive rocked patio on the lower level where you can enjoy a little outdoor dining, take a soothing dip in the hot tub, or gather around the rocked fire pit to roast a few smores or enjoy the crisp mountain air.

Inside, The Lodge at Stone Pile Gap is decorated exactly as you think a rustic mountain lodge should be. The living area features beautiful wooden beams, a rocked gas log fireplace, flat screen television with satellite service, leather furnishings, and rustic decor. Also on the main floor you will find the fully stocked kitchen and dining area. Perfect size for gathering for a family meal right in the cabin. For guest convenience, there is a half bath on this level. Located privately upstairs are two bedrooms. The first featuring a king sized bed, easy chair, and flat screen tv with satellite service. The second is the expansive master bedroom which features a king sized bed, flat screen tv with satellite service, and private bath with glass tiled shower. Downstairs in the walkout basement, you will find an additional living area with a flat screen television with satellite service, pool table, dart board, and wet bar. There is a private bedroom with queen sized bed and a custom built in bunk bed set with two twins. There is also a full bath with walk-in shower and separate laundry room with ample storage space.

The Lodge at Stone Pile Gap is located within 1 mile to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park entrance at Deep Creek. This area is perfect for hiking trails, waterfalls, fly fishing, tubing, swimming, and picnicking. It is also just a short 5 minute drive to downtown Bryson City, where you can enjoy the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad - famous for The Polar Express and The Pumpkin Patch Express. There are many delicious local restaurants, craft breweries, and boutique shops. The Cherokee Indian Reservation is just a 10-15 minute drive where you can immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Cherokee Tribe at the Museum of the Cherokee Indian and the Oconoluftee Village. There is also Harrah's Cherokee Casino for nightlife and great dining options. If you're looking for a little more heart pumping outdoor adventure, the Nantahala River Gorge is just a 15-20 minute drive where you can find world class whitewater rafting, kayaking, zipline tours, and horseback riding. Fontana Lake and Tsali biking trails are also about 15-20 minutes away.
