About this property
Winter Olympics '26 Cortina: Cozy sunny holiday apartment in Pieve di Cadore
The 115m large and bright vacation apartment in the middle of the Dolomites with two large balconies and a large garden is a wonderful base for excursions to the famous Cortina d'Ampezzo - the venue for the 2026 Winter Olympics - or to the Three Peaks. A day trip to Venice can also be easily realized from the apartment - either by car or by bus (approx. 2 hours travel time).
If you want to get out and about and admire the mountains, this is the place to be. Just a few meters from the house is the Munich-Venice long-distance cycle path, which is ideal for walking, cycling or running. The hiking trail to the Rifugio Antelao starts right behind the house. The Calalzo lake is a great place to relax and watch the anglers go no-kill fishing. In winter, Cortina d'Ampezzo and Lake Misurina are ideal for alpine or cross-country skiing.
There is also plenty on offer for those interested in culture: for example, a walk to the birthplace of the great painter Titian in Pieve di Cadore or to the eyewear museum (the Cadore Valley is famous for its eyewear factories. Glasses can be bought very cheaply here). In the village of the Gelatieri Cibiana you will find murals about the history of the village and the ice cream makers or you can hike to Monte Rite (or take a shuttle to get there), where the Reinhold Messner Museum is located.
The house is situated on a sunny hill, on the road to the village of Nebbiù, with a view of the mountains (Marmarole, Rite etc.) and our beautiful garden. It is easily accessible by car in both summer and winter and has two parking spaces. Storage facilities for bicycles or skis are also available. In the immediate vicinity there are excellent restaurants, pizzerias and excellent shopping facilities, all within walking distance.
The apartment is suitable for 4 to 5 people, ideally for two couples plus a child or a family of several. It is equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher and large fridge. The three bedrooms and the living room have parquet flooring and can be reached from the large and inviting hallway, so that every guest has their privacy. The bathroom invites you to linger and the kitchen invites you to cook together or have a nice breakfast.
The hostess is German-Italian and looks forward to welcoming her international guests. Adriana knows the area very well ("I've been here since I was a child") and is happy to give tips on excursions, hikes and good restaurants. A folder with tips for excursions and restaurants is also available for you in the apartment.
