The health resort of Plau am See is only 8 kilometers away – a stroll through the town will reveal its medieval origins, with its small, winding streets and half-timbered houses. Activities nearby: A highlight during the summer months is a ride on a draisine – a nature experience for young and old. In Malchow, about 15 km away, there's tobogganing fun for everyone on the 800 m long summer toboggan run with its seven banked curves and six chicanes. Afterwards, the Monkey Forest awaits your visit: A 1.8-hectare open-air enclosure offers the monkeys, originally from Morocco, a natural habitat.
