Historisches Fachwerkhaus Salztalranch im Schönen Vogelsberg

Our beautiful vacation rental is located in a half-timbered house dating back to 1749 in a quiet setting in the Vogelsberg region. The apartment sleeps up to 7 (2 double beds, 2 single beds) and features a spacious kitchen-living area. The property, complete with a stream, pond, and horse paddock, invites you to linger. An outdoor seating area with a dining space is also available for our guests’ use. Dogs are also warmly welcome here.

A beautifully situated, modernly furnished 2-4-room apartment measuring 105 square meters. The kitchen features state-of-the-art built-in appliances. The living room and bedrooms are equipped with TVs offering access to various streaming services. A fenced-in garden area with an outdoor seating area and terrace is available for your exclusive use. A gas grill can be provided. The pond on the property invites you to swim and relax. Bed linens and towels can be provided. The bathroom features a walk-in shower. Free Wi-Fi with fiber-optic internet access is available to our guests.

The Vogelsberg volcanic region is a geopark—it’s the fourth in Hesse and the 17th in Germany to be awarded the title “National Geopark.”

The Vogelsberg offers seemingly endless hiking trails—along lakes and through beautiful old towns. Even the second-highest peak, the Hohenrodskopf (764 m above sea level), invites visitors to hike in the summer and ski in the winter.
The highest peak, the Taufstein, with its network of cross-country ski trails and hiking routes, is simply boundless.

Die Ferienwohnung im 1. Stock eines alten Bauernhauses ist großzügig bemessen. Die Küche ist modern und umfassend ausgestattet, besser als unsere eigene :-)Das Bett war bequem, wir haben gut geschlafen. Es gibt Rauchmelder, Mückenschutzgitter, sehr gute Internetverbindung/WLAN.Für uns als Ehepaar mit einem großen Hund war es dort sehr gut. Gerade für Aufenthalt mit Hund ist es optimal, da es für den Hund möglich ist auf eine kleine Wiese zu gehen ohne Leine usw. (Die Doggen der Besitzer sind räumlich getrennt. Die beeindruckenden Pferde und putzigen Schafe kann man besichtigen.) Es gibt direkt ab Ort Wandermöglichkeiten als auch im gesamten Umfeld, u.a. sind Hohenrodskopf und Herchenhainer Höhe schnell anfahrbar und dort gibt es ohne Ende Wanderwege und Ausblicke. Im Haus gibt es auch weiteres Infomaterial zur Freizeitgestaltung. Es gibt diverse Spiele für Kinder, falls es z.B. mal regnet. Wir haben in der Regel in Freiensteinau (Hauptort, ca. 4 km) im Tegut, beim Bäcker und Metzger eingekauft.Die Gastgeber waren immer sehr schnell mit Antworten im Vorfeld und vor Ort sehr nett und konnten alle Fragen schnell beantworten und hilfreiche Tipps geben. Sehr sympathisch.Wir haben uns insgesamt ziemlich gut erholt - herzlichen Dank!

Ausgesprochene Gastfreundschaft , sehr hilfsbereit, überdurchschnittliche Ausstattung, mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet, viel Platz, Sauberkeit Mikrowelle und Schränke könnte besser sein. Für Senioren vielleicht etwas zuviel Technik.Man kann sich aber auf jeden Fall wohl fühlen, gut schlafen und die Ruhe genießen. Die Tiere waren auch sehr willkommen.

Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung insgesamt sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Küche war hervorragend ausgestattet und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Auch die Vermieter waren ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und engagiert – man merkt, dass ihnen das Wohl ihrer Gäste am Herzen liegt.Ein kleiner Hinweis zur Raumaufteilung: Die Wohnung wird mit vier Schlafzimmern beschrieben, allerdings liegen drei davon hintereinander, somit sind zwei davon Durchgangszimmer.Die Vermieter leben mit mehreren Hunden im Haus, die sie liebevoll aufgenommen haben, nachdem sie in Not geraten waren. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut für Familien mit Hund geeignet.

Schöne großzügige Wohnung mit großer moderner Küche. Die Ausstattung der Küche und auch sonst lässt keine Wünsche offenDie Gastgeber sind sehr aufmerksam, behilflich und sympathisch.Für schlechtes Wetter sind viele Gesellschaftsspiele, Legos und Malsachen vorhanden, sodass es für Kinder nicht langweilig wird. Besonders die großen Hunde, Pferde und Schafe hatten es unserer 6-jährigen Enkelin angetan. Unser eigener Hund kam auch auf seine Kosten, da es gute Wander-Wege direkt vom Grundstück weg, aber auch in der weiteren Umgebung gibt.Wir hatten eine gute Zeit und fühlten uns rundherum wohl
