Tucked into the heart of Gjógv — one of the most scenic villages in the Faroe Islands — this traditional red-painted cottage offers views straight out over the village rooftops, dramatic coastal cliffs, and the open sea. On a clear day the view is hard to beat.

The house is spread across two floors. Downstairs you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a practical entrance hall with plenty of space for coats and outdoor gear. Upstairs there are two bedrooms — each with a double bed and a single bed — a cosy living room, and a bathroom with a skylight. A deck at the back of the house has a solid wooden bench set, perfect for taking in the village atmosphere when the weather allows.

Gjógv is a small village with a natural harbour gorge, seabird cliffs, and easy access to hiking trails. It's about 45 minutes by car from Tórshavn and sits at the northern end of Eysturoy.



The Space:

The house is spread across two floors. Downstairs you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area, a bedroom, a bathroom with shower, and a practical entrance hall with plenty of space for coats and outdoor gear — useful after a day of hiking in Faroese weather.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, each sleeping two guests with a double bed and a single bed. There's also a cosy living room and a second bathroom with a skylight. The upper floor has some of the best views in the house.

Outside, a wooden deck with a bench set looks out over the village — a good spot for a coffee in the morning or an evening wind-down.
