Just steps from the house, open fields and stunning hiking trails await. In the evenings, you can watch the sun set over the fjord and feel the rare, deep silence that can only be found here.



This is more than just a place to stay – it’s an experience that offers an authentic glimpse into life in the Faroe Islands. Perfect for nature lovers, adventurers, and anyone seeking something truly special.



A code for the key box will be sent to you 1 day before arrival, making check-in smooth and flexible.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the entire house during their stay, including the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom. There is also one dedicated parking space available in front of the building. The basement level is only used for storage and technical equipment and is not part of the living area.



The house at Nordskálavegur 34 offers flexible sleeping arrangements to suit both families and groups. In total, the home includes:

1 additional very small custom made bed (suitable for 1-2 kids under 120 cm long).



All bedrooms are bright and simply furnished, with comfortable beds and fresh linens for a pleasant night’s sleep.



The Neighborhood:

Located in a peaceful village surrounded by mountains and close to the sea, this area offers a true taste of Faroese life. You’ll find stunning hiking trails, fresh ocean air, and beautiful viewpoints just minutes from your door. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Two big supermarkets are only a short walk away, and there are also takeaway places nearby if you prefer a quick meal. The capital, Tórshavn, is just about a 30-minute drive away, making it easy to enjoy both nature and city life during your stay.



Getting Around:

The easiest way to explore the Faroe Islands is by car, as public transport is limited outside the main towns. Free shared parking is available in front of the building. Bus connections are available in the nearby village, and taxis can be booked in advance. Most attractions, hiking trails, and viewpoints are best reached by car, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Tórshavn, the capital, is only about a 30-minute drive away, making it easy to enjoy both nature and city life during your stay.



Other Things to Note:

The house is a traditional Faroese home and may have small level differences and narrow stairs, which are part of its charm.



Two of the beds/sofa beds are 120 cm wide.

If used as single beds, the home comfortably hosts up to 8 guests.

If two people share these 120 cm beds, the home can accommodate up to 10 guests in total.



The washing machine is located in the basement. To access it, please go outside and downstairs, where you will find a door that can be opened using a key. Inside, you will find the washing machine.



The key is hanging just inside the main entrance upstairs.



Please note that guests staying in the cabin next door also have access to the laundry basement.
