The Space:

White Gates Chalet is a spacious four bedroom, three and a half bath mountain retreat set just outside the village of Stowe, Vermont. The location is perfect for an outdoor escape, minutes from the lifts at Stowe Mountain Resort and the cross country trails at Trapp Family Lodge.



Built for gathering, the chalet features a large open floor plan with soaring ceilings, where cozy couches and multiple seating areas surround a wood burning fireplace. The chef's kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to cook for a crowd, with ample prep space, cookware, and kitchen tools, making it easy to put together anything from a quick apres ski snack to a full holiday dinner. Sliding doors lead out from the common area to a large deck with outdoor seating, ideal for morning coffee, evening drinks, or simply taking in the Green Mountain views.



Upstairs you will find a sitting area as well as the primary suite which features vaulted ceilings and a king bed, along with an ensuite bath with a double vanity and a beautifully tiled walk-in shower. The main level offers three well appointed bedrooms. Two bedrooms each offer a queen bed. A third bedroom is outfitted with two single beds, well suited to kids or solo travelers.



Downstairs, the game room adds another full level of entertaining space, with a ping pong table, additional couches for lounging or movie nights, and two lofted twin beds that offer flexible sleeping space for extra guests. Between the four bedrooms and the lofted twins, White Gates Chalet comfortably sleeps up to ten, making it a great fit for multi generational family ski trips or groups of friends chasing fresh powder together.

Summer and fall bring hiking, mountain biking, and some of the best foliage viewing in New England, while the Stowe Recreation Path offers miles of easy walking and biking along the West Branch Little River. Trapp Family Lodge adds nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and a mountain view brewery and bistro. The Village of Stowe is filled with shops, galleries, and standout dining. Nearby Waterbury is home to Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, and breweries like The Alchemist and Prohibition Pig, with Waterbury Reservoir close by for swimming and paddling. Getting Around:

White Gates Chalet is 5 miles from the village of Stowe and under 4.8 miles from Stowe Mountain. Guests should plan to travel around by car as it is a rural area with limited public transportation. The main route to access the town and mountain is VT-108 N.



In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads.
