Welcome to our cosy holiday rental, Wiesenzauber, in Backemoor. Backemoor is located between Westrhauderfehn (7 km) and the city of Leer (8 km), with its historic old town and beautiful harbour. A stroll through the pedestrian zone with its many cafés is especially worthwhile. Papenburg, known for the Meyer shipyard where cruise ships are built, is 17 km away. The seaport city of Emden is 30 km away, and the North Sea coast is about 50 km away. Our village has 500 residents, is idyllically situated, and has been recognised multiple times as a winner in the “Our Village Has a Future” competition. In 2018, Backemoor even won the state-level competition. On a walk through the village, you’ll discover a pottery studio and the particularly noteworthy, nearly 800-year-old church with its resonant Wenthin organ. In addition, the old windmill is currently being rebuilt. The Holter Hammrich nature reserve, located in the immediate vicinity, offers nature lovers a variety of meadow birds to observe. Here, the typical East Frisian landscape invites you to relax, unwind, hike, jog, and bike without any car traffic. Just 3 km away is the Pünte, the oldest hand-operated ferry in Northern Europe. The ferry can be used to cross the Jümme by car, motorcycle, bicycle, or on foot.

Wiesenzauber Holiday Rental:

The holiday rental is located on the ground floor and has
a separate entrance. A parking space is available for guests right next to the apartment
. The living room is furnished with comfortable furniture and a large
TV. The kitchenette features a dining table
with chairs, a stove with oven, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle,
a toaster, and much more. The bedroom features a comfortable double bed
(1.80 x 2.00 m) for a restful night’s sleep and a large closet. The
accessible shower is also particularly well-suited for older guests.
The holiday rental is wheelchair-accessible. However,
there is one step in the entryway.




The garden with a lawn is perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Chairs, lounge chairs,
garden tables, a parasol, and a grill are available. A small terrace can be used for breakfast outdoors or for enjoying lovely summer evenings.




To explore Backemoor and the surrounding area not only by car or on on foot,
bicycles are available. You can park and charge your own bicycles, especially e-bikes, in the
garage.
