Ferienhaus Riviera Ligurien Praelo

Country house in the picturesque hamlet of Praelo for 2 to a maximum of 4 people. Downstairs: living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom with shower. Upstairs: living room with a large sliding door leading to the loggia, bedroom, half-bath.

The loggia and all the windows offer breathtaking views of the villages of Valprino. The loggia can be opened up to the living room through the sliding door. It’s 10 km to the sea (with beaches in Porto Maurizio (photo) / Imperia / San Lorenzo). On the way to the sea are Prela Molini and Dolcedo, where you can shop and dine. Molini is a 15-minute walk away, as are several river swimming spots (photos). The historic centre of Porto Maurizio (photo) is beautiful; down by the sea is a promenade lined with restaurants.

The area is ideal for cyclists and hikers. Beautiful walks and tours are possible right from the house. The sea is also accessible by bike. There are many destinations for day trips in the immediate and wider vicinity (San Remo, Nice). From Porto Maurizio, there’s a bike path (and bike rental) along the coast to San Remo/Ospedaletti as well as to Diano Marina. Day trips to Nice, Monaco, or Genoa can be easily taken by train from Imperia.

Parking is available about 50 m from the house. The house consists of a ground floor and a ground floor and, unfortunately, is not wheelchair accessible.

Overall, prices in bars and restaurants are affordable by German standards (and compared to France). We rent to guests staying for a minimum of 5 days. Feel free to contact us with any questions!

Wir waren im August 2026 in der Wohnung. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist traumhaft, wenn man gerne etwas weg vom Schuss ist. Die Loggia hat eine geniale Aussicht. Die Unterkunft an sich ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Empfehlungen der Gastgeberin waren hilfreich um die Gegend bestmöglich zu erkunden. Wir fanden die Umgebung sehr authentisch und schön. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Die Wohnung ist mit Blick ins Tal und auf die Berge hübsch gelegen und solide ausgestattet, bestens für einen Wander- oder Fahrradurlaub geeignet. Auch die Tipps zu Gastronomie oder Ausflügen haben wir geschätzt. Problematisch hingegen war, dass Wasser nur in sehr geringen Mengen verfügbar war, das Waschen oder gar Duschen nahezu unmöglich wurde. Von der Vermieterin wurde uns beschieden, dass das im August in einem Bergdorf normal sei und man sich mit Wasserflaschen oder Baden in der Wassergumpe behelfen könne. Andernfalls müsse man in ein Hotel gehen. (Wasserknappheit im Sommer ist uns verständlich. Nachbarn allerdings konnten Pflanzen gießen; bei einem früheren Aufenthalt in einem Nachbarhaus gab es keinerlei Probleme.) Eines der beiden WCs funktionierte bereits bei Anreise nicht, das zweite konnte man nur im Abstand von mehreren Stunden benutzen. Nach 3 Tagen funktionierte auch das zweite WC nicht mehr, so dass wir mit Töpfen und Flaschen operiert haben. Warmes Wasser hatten wir nicht – im Gegensatz zur Behauptung der Vermieterin. Das Angebot, in den letzten beiden Tagen in der Wohnung der Vermieterin zu duschen, haben wir nicht angenommen, da wir mittlerweile im Umgang mit besagten Töpfen und Flaschen versiert waren. Befremdlich schien uns zudem der Vorwurf der Vermieterin, ohne explizite Nachfrage Bettwäsche aus einem (unverschlossenen) Schrank entnommen zu haben. Der grundsätzlich schöne Wanderaufenthalt bleibt uns in vielerlei Hinsicht als Abenteuer in Erinnerung.

Ein Klempner hat nach Abreise des Gastes festgestellt, dass dieser offenbar selbst das Wasser abgedreht hatte… der Gast war nicht in der Lage, sich allein in einem Ferienhaus zurechtzufinden - er braucht offenbar eine Rezeption an die er sich mehrmals täglich wenden kann. Extrem betreuungsintensiv…

Erholung pur

Wir haben mit unseren beiden Kindern eine Woche dort verbracht. Die Wohnung ist wirklich so schön wie auf den Fotos und befindet sich oben in den Bergen mit viel Natur drum herum. Grandioser Ausblick von der Loggia beim Morgenkaffee oder abends bei einem kühlen Bier. Viele Möglichkeiten für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung (Strände / Altstadt von Imperia ca. 1/2 Stunde Fahrt; Olivenöl-Mühlen mit Verkauf von lokalen Produkten in der Nähe...) Sehr angenehme Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin; Frau Schiffer war bei sämtlichen Fragen gut erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder!
